I have to admit that I have been lacking in trying new workouts around the city. Between work and blogging I have not been motivated to try something new. All I wanted to do was go to a fitness class that I am used to so I did not have to think. During October, however, I decided to change my tune and start trying new workouts. It started at an event with Shape Magazine that I found the motivation to emerge myself in new classes again. Here are two new fitness classes in NYC that I have been enjoying and one I keep forgetting to share with you.

There are many people who inspire me for different reasons and in different areas in my life. Whether it’s career, fitness, personal, aesthetics, fashion, and so on, I look up to and get inspired by the people in my life. Today I am partnering with adidas to talk about someone, in my case two people, who inspire me daily, Sarah and Natalie from City Fit Life. You may have heard me talk about my friends on Insta Stories or read about them on the blog; attending their workout classes or one of their events, or even just hanging out. I have known Sarah and Natalie for over a year now and have watched the two of them grow personally and professionally. I, especially, couldn’t be more proud of their growth with City Fit Life. This past year I have watched them work hard as they figure out entrepreneurial life while keeping a positive outlook. Their approach on life and their quest of supporting each other (#megababes) is really why I am inspired by them. They are real about their own struggles with fitness and in life. Their Insta Stories are always filled with funny, relatable memes or inspirational quotes. During their workouts you can tell they are loving what they’re doing; starting and ending with a smile and a laugh. Their positive outlook on life is contagious, and when you mix it in with fitness and
how hard they work, well they are two people whom I want to be like.

Over the weekend I attended the DanceBody LIVE stream sculpt class (if you want to try another LIVE stream class for free use code BANDBLIVE and if you want DB exclusive leggings for 20% off, use code DBMAGGIE)— I hoped you joined or at least watched! I had SO much fun during the class and gave it my all, knowing that people were watching. Usually during workout classes I like to pretend I am either the instructor, in a workout video (or music video), or live streaming, just to push myself and perform better. In a way I have been training for this moment for a long time. I was completely dead after class, went home and crashed on the couch for a few hours. But it was all worth it!

For better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, till death do us part….. I keep finding myself in a workout class. Since Bandier closed Studio B to reopen a new location, I have been substituting my Studio B days with classes that I have either not attended in a while or a class I have been wanting to try. I find that my workout weekly routine consist of one yoga class, two dance cardio classes, one sculpting, one running, and one heavy weight class. I may switch out either running or the second dance cardio class with pilates or boxing. But that is my usually routine. I haven’t been trying that many new classes lately, instead been fine-tuning my weekly schedule to workouts I know and love. Here are some of my favorite classes to attend in New York.
