New York City Workout Guide

Now that the Body Conceptions challenge is over, I am back to my regular program of trying new workouts. While doing BOCO a number of fitness boutiques popped up on my radar, I couldn’t wait to try them. When I discover or hear about a certain fitness boutique the first thing I do is research the studio; what type of workout it is, why they believe in this form of exercise, and if there is any testimonies (I like to see people’s progress and if XYZ regime actually works). There are three new boutiques I have been frequently going to lately, along with continuing my working out at Body Conceptions. Someday I will have a six pack…. some day.

If you read this past Friday’s Simply Smitten then you would know that I have finished the Body Conception’s fitness challenge. Now that is it over I am have major withdrawals. I was working out 5-6 days a week, sometimes twice a day. My body was getting used to the rigorous schedule. I do think it is good to take a break and try other workouts, but I want to get back to the high intensity workouts.

There isn’t a workout challenge I wouldn’t take…. well, for the most part. So when my friend Ashley, from the blog Impossibly Imperfect, approached me with the idea to join her for Body Conceptions winter challenge I was 100% in. I didn’t need to ask questions or really ask what Body Conceptions was. I just knew it was a workout challenge and I was ready to go. I know, I am a freak.

When we want to live a healthy lifestyle, whether we are starting on a new journey or improving one, we are setting goals to achieve it. That goal can be anywhere from cutting sugar cravings to running a marathon. Keeping this idea of the destination is what keeps us motivated to go back to the gym or to say no to that cookie. It is hard, it is challenging, but it is always worth it.
