It may be October but we are currently experiencing a second summer here in New York. This means I can still wear my cute floral mini skirt. In fact, jut because it is the fall season doesn’t mean we can’t wear our beloved mini skirts out and about.

There are so many different ways you can style a mini skirt for the fall season; knee high boots, with tights, oversized sweaters, ankle boots, and so on. But until the crisp fall air arrives, I will opt to wear my mini with slingback heels and a chambray button-down.

For the past few years the mini skirt has been making a comeback. While maxi skirts are still a top trend, the mini has gradually made its way back on the runways and on the streets. Mostly thanks to the wildly popular Miu Miu micro mini skirt that graced their runway during spring/summer 22 Pair Fashion Week. The Y2K style skirt was all over fashion magazines and trend-forward influencers. While I wouldn’t personally wear such a short skirt (even though it looks amazing on people), I do love a good mini.

It’s been a few years since I have worn a mini skirt. I think the last mini skirt I owned was back in 2017 and it was a denim skirt. So yes, it was time to get back into the short of it all. Anyway, when I saw this floral tie-wrap skirt I knew it was the perfect piece to dip back into this classic style. I love the double tie, adding a nice little detail. The coloring and print is perfect for the fall season. You can buy the matching blouse to go with the skirt; both being versatile giving you plenty of different outfits to style.

After wearing my skirt a lot over the past few weeks, I want more mini skirts to pair with my sweaters this fall season. Shop more mini skirts below.
