“Just out here looking for magic”
-P.T. Berkey
Happy Friday and happy Halloween! While I may not be the biggest fan of the holiday, I do love the Monster Mash.
I finally had a Saturday off and I spent it being out and about as much as possible. It was such a beautiful day, I didn’t want to waste it! I went shopping in the West Village. I wanted to finally check out the cute new gift shop, MA VIE. They have a variety of little knick knacks; from coffee table books to tassel pillows to candles, games, and more. I didn’t buy anything but enjoyed browsing. Later that day I went to Bar Bonobo for happy hour. Since it was so nice out we sat outside. It was a lovely day!
Work this week was once again calm. We have our Christmas decor already up, and that includes 2 real Christmas trees! I know it’s super early, but we are already selling holiday outfits and gifts. Besides the festive vibes, I had a private styling session with an older woman who was looking for event dresses. I had so much fun with her and her friend! I enjoyed chatting about life, the events and weddings they are attending, and work. I loved styling her, helping her decide what dresses to wear to what. I hope to keep in touch to help her in the future for more events, galas, weddings, etc.
I went to the polls to vote early. While I will not disclose who I voted for, I will encourage you all to go vote! There wasn’t a line at all when I went, which was amazing! I walked right in and 10 minutes later I was finished. I am very much looking forward to the election results and to finally put an end to all the political ads, calls, and texts. Make it stop!
What I am watching: I watched the entire first season of Carrie on Prime. Carrie is the tv adaptation of the famous 1976 horror film. While it’s been a long time since I have seen the movie, I think they pretty much followed the original story. However, they did modernize it. Some of the bullying entailed iphones and social media. I liked that they did so as it feels more relatable. I really enjoyed it and can’t wait to watch season 2.
Nobody Wants This is back for season 3 and it is SO good! I find this season to be so much better than the last. Last season just felt like a repeat of the first; together-breakup-together-breakup. This season has progress, it’s moving forward and I am loving it! This seems to be an unpopular opinion, but I do not want Sasha and Morgan to get together. I love their friendship! I would rather see a healthy friendship between them than getting them together to ultimately pull them apart which we know will be the case.
What I bought: I mostly bought things that I needed like new conditioner and a new pair of sunglasses.

This weekend I am going see the American Ballet Theatre’s fall performance, An Elegy and a Dream. They are showcasing 3 pieces; one is a world premiere and the other is a company premiere. The final piece is The Dream, a beautiful retelling of Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream. I have seen this particular performance before (years ago) and loved it! I can’t wait to see it again! Other than attending the ballet, I will be working for most of the weekend. And of course, I will be enjoying seeing all the cute kids in their Halloween costume.
Have a spooky weekend xo
