Now that my Keto lifestyle is over, hungry Maggie is back in action with another restaurant guide! Enjoy.

BG Restaurant

If you want a classic New York moment then dine at the famous BG Restaurant, located on the 7th floor of Bergdorf Goodman’s. I will frequently pop in for tea (or champagne if I am in the mood) when I am out shopping in the area, but I also enjoy having lunch there when I can. Their lobster salad is SO good, as well as their tomato soup. It’s a little pricey for lunch but when in Bergdorfs! In the afternoon they have tea time, perfect to take your mom or friends. Sit and chat with a tier-tray filled with tea sandwiches, scones, and petite sweets. It’s my favorite! I love the decor and elegance of the restaurant. It has an amazing view of Central Park– who doesn’t want to have tea and scones while overlooking the beautiful park?! It gets really busy during lunch hours so try to go a little early or later in the afternoon, or make a reservation.

Seamore’s

One of my favorite seafood restaurants in the city, Seamore’s has a yummy menu fresh from the sea (don’t worry it’s not from the Hudson River ha). From the catch of the day to lobster rolls, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. My favorite go-to dish is the reel deal; choice of one of the daily landings with a choice of three sides (I go for the sweet potatoes, broccoli, kale and avocado salad). I can’t eat the whole thing but it’s so good! It’s healthy and delicious, a great place to take anyone. They have the cutest decor of graffiti hearts on their side door which leads to Fishbone, a speakeasy bar in Chelsea. Grab some seafood for dinner then head downstairs to the bar– one and done!

Sant Ambroeus

A popular New York spots, Sant Ambroeus is a yummy Italian restaurant. Truth be told I have only been there for brunch, but have heard they are just as good for dinner. Also known for their gelato and croissants. When there I always get the omelette with kale salad. You get to choose what you want in the omelette; ham, tomato, mushrooms, cheese, etc. They also have matcha– by now you should know that I only give 5 stars to restaurants with matcha (only partially kidding). There is a good amount of items on the menu that is gluten free– unfortunately they do not have GF bread. Can’t a gal just get a croissant for once! Anyway, Sant Ambroeus is always busy during the weekends so I highly suggest making a reservation .

Bluestone Lane

Bluestone Lane is one of my favorite places for a healthy bite. Sometimes I will pop in to get a GF banana toast and matcha tea to go at one of their many coffee shops. Other times I will go to one of their cafés for a sit-down brunch and will usually order the breakfast bowl or greek yogurt. Every item on their menu can be made gluten free and/or vegetarian. Each coffee shop and café is uniquely decorated differently and each one is instagram-worthy, as is their food. They are also located in California, DC, Philadelphia, and New Jersey.
