Happy Friday! I am in Ohio for the long weekend to celebrate the 4th of July. I am so happy to be home and to see friends and family. I have a few parties to attend in the next few days and I can’t wait to catch up with old pals. The folks that graduated a year above me are having their 20th high school reunion, so I am excited to see  all of them. It’s going to be a much needed social week… especially after the week I just had. (more…)

Happy Friday! Like the rest of the world I was refreshing my socials for updates on the submersible. What a tragedy. Yes there were a lot of factors going into it that could have been prevented for the safety of the voyagers. I will never understand why anyone would ignore such things, especially with this level of endangerment. Pure negligence. Still, it’s so sad what happened. I don’t care that they are billionaires and paid $250K to explore something they are passionate about. They are still human beings who tragically lost their lives in the most horrific way. I don’t understand the people who are being inhumane about it. There is a difference to me in making a lighthearted joke about the Titanic versus being almost giddy about humans losing their lives because they are wealthy. It’s distasteful. What ever happened to our innate compassion as humans? I do agree, however, that you couldn’t pay me to take part in this venture. The tight space alone would give me anxiety. (more…)
