“I am a museum of everything I have loved”

Happy Friday! It’s almost the weekend, Starbucks holiday cups are here, my pretty protea flowers are still thrilling (15% off), and Hilary Duff has new music out! Life is good!
I am not sure if it’s the dip in the weather, or knowing it’s the calm before the holiday store, but boy do I feel like doing nothing. I mean absolutely nothing. I just want to sit on my couch and either read or watch tv. Hopefully I will get out of this funk once the holiday festivities begin. Perhaps I am resting up, preparing for the on-the-go chaos. I may be lazy right now, but I am excited for all the craziness of the season.
I once again did my DanceBody class at home. I feel I now have a good grip on the dances except for “3” by Britney Spears and “Yeah!” by Usher. I still haven’t nailed down the movements for those two dances. I have yet to do the at-home breakdown videos, which is unusually late for me. I normally do them right off the bat at the beginning of the quarter, but I keep putting it off and end up forgetting to do it. Hopefully I’ll do it soon because I want to nail down those dances! It’s still a lot of fun to do– my favorite dance is “Shake It To The Max” by MOLIY and “The Way You Move” by Outkast.
Last night I had the amazing opportunity to attend a Q&A discussion at Meta with Threads featuring Shonda Rhimes and Malala. It was a pinch me moment for sure as I love all of Shonda Rhimes’ shows and Malala is an incredible force. They both spoke about their books. Malala has a new memoir out called Finding My Way, and Shonda Rhimes added new chapters to Year of Yes for its 10th anniversary. We were gracefully gifted both books personally signed by them! Malala is hilarious and deeply cares about helping others. Shonda is an inspiration, full of wisdom and advice. They both talked about work-life balance, mental health, and their advocacy work. Shonda has done a lot to diversify the production of tv shows. Malala created a school for girls in Pakistan. I was in awe of them both and felt inspired by their words. I am excited to dive into Malala’s book, and to read the new chapters of Shonda’s (have already read Year of Yes).
The rest of my week was filled with meetings, working on my holiday guide, and being lazy. I have now added a new section on my guide for kid’s holiday attire. Also added new items in each gift guide, holiday decor, and holiday attire.
What I am watching: I watched the new Superman movie starring David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan, and Nicholas Hoult. I thought it was alright. There were moments that captured me, and others where it would barely hold my attention. I am not as familiarized in the DC Comics as I am in the Marvel Universe. Besides main characters of course like Batman, Superman, Penguin, Lex Luther, etc. However, for this movie there were a few side characters that I didn’t know the names of nor what they were. I had to google it. My favorite character was Krypto the dog. I thought overall it kept the essence of a traditional Superman story.
What I bought: I didn’t buy anything new this past week– expect for a gift for my niece’s birthday. I am currently starting my browse for holiday outfits. Currently have my eye on this lace trim dress.

This weekend I may continue to be lazy and enjoy some R&R. It is suppose to rain, so that really doesn’t help with my lack of motivation. I will devour my book, do a little yoga, and enjoy whatever is on Netflix.
Have a wonderful weekend xo
