During the holiday season, although joyful and magical, can be hard on some. Those that may not be able to gift their loved ones with presents, buy food to feed themselves, or those trying to better their lives but do not have the right materials and resources to do so. This time of year it is important to lend a hand and give back. Since today is Giving Tuesday I thought I’d share with you ways that I give back; whether it’s donating toys, feeding the homeless on Thanksgiving, or “adopting” a family in need and giving them supplies. I try to do something different each year. This holiday season, however, I am continuing to give back the same way I have been doing all year.

Welcome to my favorite day of the year! It’s the day when every brand and retailer have a major sale, and it’s me excelling at what I do best– shop online. This is a great time to start shopping for gifts to give to friends and family for the holidays. It’s also a time to get the things you have been wanting like a winter coat or boots, a new wallet, a holiday outfit, and more. Here are some of my favorite brands that are having sales– hurry because things do sell out fast!

A few weeks ago Blair, from Atlantic Pacific, launched her first collection with Halogen for Nordstrom. The collection is amazing and I did a little damage once it launched. Two items that I was dying to get was this bow top (currently sold out but keep an eye out for a possible restock– similar look) and this over-sized blazer. I knew both pieces would be versatile to wear. I have been wearing this over-size plaid blazer to everything– events, out to dinner, press previews, shopping, etc. I love to wear it as a 3rd piece or nothing underneath and close it with a belt. It’s so chic and comfortable to wear. One of my favorite new pieces.
