My favorite part of dressing for the fall and winter season is wearing coats. I am always buying new ones, hoarding old ones, and coveting over ones that I have yet to own. Each outfit needs its own outerwear that best represents it. Different styles to choose from that completes the entire look. When I saw this purple plaid swing coat I knew it would be perfect for casual fall days. There is a bonus to it… it’s reversible. I forgot to shoot it wearing the reversible side, my apologies, but you can head to the Draper James website to see the gingham look. The reason why I have been wearing the purple plaid side is because I do not own anything that has such colors. I find this side to be the prettiest, but will definitely be turning it inside out for whenever it strikes my mood to do so. Anyway, when you have a coat that is reversible it’s like buying two coats in one! You can get completely different looks out of just one comfy wool coat.

I am wearing an xs/s and it still is oversized, just for reference. I do not mind at all that it is oversize for an everyday look. It feels like I am wrapping myself up in a blanket. It has kept me warm during the colder fall days we have had here in New York and for walks through the park.  The fall season is the prettiest time to take a stroll through Central  Park when the leaves are starting to or have changed and everything looks picturesque. There is a romantic vibe to the park during this time like you are in When Harry Met Sally. The fall is the perfect time to wear my purple plaid coat while frolicking through the park pretending I am in a RomCom.
