One of the most popular shoe trends at the moment are mules. This fall season I have found myself gravitating more towards this trend than any other style of shoes. Maybe it’s because my closet is lack there of. It’s also because I have noticed my flats collection has become, well, sad looking; they are old, worn looking. Most of the shoes that I have bought over the past few years have been heels or kitten heels. A few weeks ago I attended an event that my feet were basically repelling high heels. I found myself wishing I had flats on instead, but realized I didn’t have any flats to wear. Now this is changing.

As an easy, everyday outfit I love to throw on a pair of jeans, a simple white top with a blazer over it. Blazers for women do not have to always be so formal, they can be fun, colorful, and casual. It’s one of my favorite fall outfits to wear. It’s easy to throw on and still look elevated while being comfortable.

Although my current job is not your traditional 9-5, I have held a position where I needed to dress up everyday, but in an expressive way. My entire career has been centered around creativity, I’ve never had to wear the suiting of the corporate world. In fact every job that I have ever had has allowed me to wear sequins… #blessed.
