Happy Friday! Game, Set, Match… this week is all about the US Open. The city is buzzing with tennis fever! it’s been enjoyable to engage in some festivities, as well as chatting with clients about their US Open experiences and certain matches.

Last weekend I finally had a day off so went to happy hour at Shy Shy for a few drinks. I have been wanting to try this bar in Chelsea for a while- they do have a disco ball after all! While the happy hour crowd was little to none, it was still enjoyable. I will definitely go back!

I have been working for most of the week at Tuckernuck. We finally changed over from summer to fall. Don’t worry, we still have a few summer pieces left, but most of the store is now our fall collection. There are some really great pieces that I am eyeing: these leopard flats, this gorgeous floral skirt, this stunning polka-dot dress, and lots of new sweaters.

Wednesday evening I headed downtown to Armada for an event with Grey Goose and Club Recess. They had ping pong games going on outside on the street. Honey deuces flowing at the bar while we watched the US Open. Tennis attire displayed for us to look at. I wasn’t there very long, but had a good time while I was.

What I am watching: As mentioned, I am watching the US Open. For men’s I am obviously rooting for any of the Americans to win. However, if they do not make it to the final then I am rooting for Alcaraz. For women’s I am rooting for Coco, Pegula, and Osaka. I am really enjoying this year’s tournament. I looked into getting tickets to go againr, but the resale tickets are so expensive. I am happy with only seeing the Roger Federer Exhibition. I am better off at home for the rest of the tournament… although that doesn’t include a honey deuce so that is not as fun!

What I bought: I started buying some fall items. Mostly basics that I can wear year after year.

Black Tweed Jacket: I have been wanting this jacket for a few years now and finally got it! It will be great to not only wear to work, but can also be worn to dinner. A timeless, staple piece to have.

Gardenia Candle: Trust me when I say this is the best smelling candle I have ever, well, smelled. We light one everyday at work and everyone who comes in mentions how amazing the store smells. Now my apartment will smell just as lovely.

I am staying in NYC for Labor Day Weekend, which I do not mind at all! I will be working a little, however, I do have plans to go get drinks somewhere and watch the US Open. Should be a fun day/evening!
