Happy Friday!! I am coming to you from the dead. This morning I went to a crossfit workout event at Yotel hotelThis is my second time taking crossfit, last time being 5 years ago. It was a conditioning class outside on the rooftop of the hotel…. in 80 degree weather. I. am. dead. now. It was so hot I thought I was going to pass out. I am not sure what prompted me to attend the event, since I am not a crossfitter nor am I really a fan of it. To be honest it’s my least favorite workout. When I initially got the email I thought, sure, why not challenge myself.  Kidnap me next time I make this decision. All jokes aside it was a great workout and I am glad/proud that I went. We did a lot of sprints, weights, and battle ropes. Send an Uber please….

I am back in New York after a long vacation at home for the 4th of July. I flew back to NYC this past Tuesday just in time for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Have you shopped the sale yet? I only had two items in my cart yesterday and since Nordstrom’s website decided to not work all day then for some reason wouldn’t allow me to use my NCard, one of my items was sold out. At least the other item was available for purchase this morning, but I wanted the pink blazer more. Waiting for people to return items now. Anyway, did you catch my post yesterday sharing my must have items from the sale? I will continue to post more as the sale progresses and they add more items to it. Best of luck and may the odds forever be in your favor.

Yesterday was a headache. It started with the Nordstrom website not properly working and ended with my own website crashing on my end. Everyone else luckily was able to still see my blog but my computer would not let me access the website or WordPress. I spent an half an hour on the phone with my hosting site, where we accidentally got cut off. I immediately ran to Apple to the Genius Bar where they helped me figured out what the problem was. Early that day I had purchased a plugin from my hosting site to double secure my website. The new plugin caused my site to temporarily go down as it was uploading the program. Great– I think my hosting site owes me a pink Blazer from the Nordstrom sale that I couldn’t get yesterday….. I had a pool party event last night with Dunkin’ Donuts that I ended up missing because of my technological misery. Luckily yesterday I attended a meditation/sound bath event at Bode NYC.

I had no idea what a sound bath was nor have I ever heard of it, but I was all in when I got the invitation. A sound bath is a type of meditation where you lay down and the instructor, Abigail Devine, walked around with different ancient bowls and chimes making a sound. The sound creates a vibration that our body reacts to in a deep meditative state. Sound baths, also known as sound healing, are great way to improve sleep, help with anxiety, depression, stress and emotional pain. When Abigail moved the bowl over my body and the only sound I could hear was the vibration of the bowl, I felt like I was in a trance. Some people experienced images, sights of colors or visions, others (like myself) felt it either as a tingling sensation or heat. I felt heated when she was near me.  It was a very interesting experience and one that I would definitely go back to.

Last weekend I attended the Taylor Swift’s Reputation Tour….. GAHH IT WAS SO GOOD! Probably the best concert I have ever seen! The entire set design and creativity of the production was nothing like I’ve seen before! I want to go again, ha. This weekend, although not as exciting as last, will be good. I have an Ice Cream event at Lumos, but that is about it. I am also glued to the TV watching Wimbledon! I am SO sad Federer is out. I am currently cheering for John Isner to win the semi-finals. I’ve been watching him over the past year and think he has progressed so much. After Isner vs. Anderson, Nadal will play Djokovic. It is going to be a great game! I don’t know who I am cheering for, I am pretty mutual on liking them both… they are no Federer or Murray!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend XO
