I have to admit this is one of my favorite photoshoots I have done. I met with my photographer Lauren at Washington Sq. Park to shoot looks by the cherry blossom trees. Lauren had a great idea to venture into the garden area of the park to shoot. I was hesitant at first because you are not suppose to go into this area, and I hate breaking the rules, but she convinced me to give it a try. I am so glad she did because they turned out beautifully. I would also like to add that no plants or flowers were harmed during the making of these photos. I was very careful not to step on anything. As customary, fashion trends come and go and then come back again. We saw the short lived revival of chokers a few years ago. The comeback of fanny packs and scrunchies (please stay!). The reawakening of low-rise jeans…. which I will personally protest at all cost. The beloved trends of our adolescence are back. (more…)

Although I work from home, I do have appointments and meetings with brands to discuss seasonal collections. Even though there isn’t a dress code for said meetings, I do like to look a little bit more professional and put together. I usually opt for a dress or a nice pair of slacks with a blouse or sweater. Just because it’s work or a meeting doesn’t mean I have to wear a black suite dress or a blazer that is dull and boring. You can add spring-like colors to your work wardrobe. (more…)
