Happy Sunday! It’s been a very busy week at work. I’ve been styling a good amount of people in fall pieces. From sweaters to jeans to warm and earthy toned dresses, it seems most are ready for the autumn. While I still hold tightly to the summer, I am browsing for fall-like, transitional pieces. And mostly in the shades of greens and deep reds as I seemingly tend to covet those colors as of lately. This week’s Sunday Shopping top 10 is inspired by seasonally versatile pieces.
Before we dive into autumn attire, let’s enjoy the present moment. We are still in the midst of summer, which means we may still be shopping for items to wear while we frolic around in the heat. This khaki colored linen dress is a staple piece that you will reach for again and again. The light linen material is breathable for the heat, while the khaki color can be worn well into the beginning of fall. It’s a timeless dress to throw on and go; versatile in styling. Add some color and design with this gorgeous floral scarf. You can style it in the traditional way of draping it around your shoulders, or tap into the latest trend of tying it around your waist.
If you are looking for a transitional piece to wear well into the fall season, then this burgundy bandana print dress is one to have. With its spaghetti straps and cotton material, it will keep you cool while having drinks on the rooftop. Style it with these gold ankle strap sandals for a more summer-like look. With its deep red color and western bandana- inspired motif, wear it in the fall with a cardigan and boots.
Another item you can wear now and into the fall is this oxford stripe shirtdress. A classic, staple piece that will never go out of style. You can wear it to work or while running errands during the weekend. The dress has a draw-string waist so you can adjust it to your liking, and create different silhouettes. Elevate your outfit with these chic gold lattice stud earrings. Can be worn as an everyday pair or for a special night out.
When the temperature starts to feel more crisp, style this floral midi skirt with this olive cashmere silk tee. A timeless top that I have been eyeing lately and can be worn with jeans, nice slacks, and even shorts on a cool summer night. The floral midi skirt will be unlike anything you currently have in your closet. The v-shape ruching of the waistline is flattering and adds an interesting design to the skirt. The handkerchief high-low hem gives the skirt a fluidity in its movement that is really beautiful. Add more texture and design to the outfit by styling it with this soft red raffia fringe handbag. You can wear it either as a crossbody or as a clutch.
While I do already have two fringe ottomans in my apartment, I was still drawn to this gold velvet pouf this past week. Although it doesn’t match my current overall color scheme, I do find the bold gold to be beautiful. It’s striking. It will add all 3 elements of design to your home; color, texture, and embellishments. Shop all of this week’s Sunday Shopping top 10 below.
