“The art of being happy lies in the power of extracting happiness from common things”
-Henry Ward Beecher
Happy Friday! I just bought some Easter candy on sale, a great way to kick off the weekend!
Earlier this week I went to the Diff x Vivrelle event at the Vivrelle showroom. This was my first time at the showroom, I loved seeing all of the designer handbags displayed everywhere. It was nice to finally see the bags in person that I can borrow. Anyway, they had different seasonal, and collaborative, collections from Diff displayed around the showroom as well. Some collections haven’t released yet, but trust me, they are good! I walked around trying on different styles of sunglasses; from colorful frames to classic tortoise.
We were allowed to pick one pair of sunglasses to be sent to us. I went with these gold frame round sunglasses from Jessie James Decker collection. This style has been en vogue for a while now. I’ve been looking at different pairs here and there, but this was a great opportunity to finally get one. They have a vintage, yet modern feel to them. I love the little triangles of the frame on the side of the lens, creating a cat-eye illusion. We were also able to borrow a bag from Vivrelle, but since I am already working with them, and have a bag, I didn’t pick one out. However, I was loving this green mini puffer handbag from Loewe. The rest of my week was pretty calm. I love that it finally feels like spring. I went frolicking around my neighborhood just to get out and look at all the pretty flowers blooming.
What I am watching: I watched Nuremberg on Netflix starring Rami Malek, Russell Crowe, Michael Shannon, and lots more. I am somewhat of a history nerd, so this was right up my alley. It’s about the Nuremberg trials of prominent Nazi leaders right at the end of WWII. The Allies had a psychiatrist spend time with each prisoner to understand why they did what they did. It’s a very fascinating story. Honestly, this is a movie that should have been on the big screen and not on a streaming service.
I watched the first round of the NFL Draft… I know, who am I. I watched it until Caleb Downs was selected. I was only watching to see where the Ohio State players went. Luckily for me (and them too) they all went within the first 11 spots. I then turned it off and watched Ladies of London, as nature intended.
What I bought: I went on a little bit of a shopping spree. I got this matching floral button up and shorts set to wear while I work from home. Also a great outfit to throw-on during the weekends and run errands. I also finally got this ecru marble scrunchie that I have been eyeing for almost a year now.
Lastly I bought this pink stripe over-sized button up. I wanted something casual, yet elevated to wear that wasn’t a dress or athleisurewear. This is how I styled it. And will also be wearing it a lot with my satin pants.

I am not sure what I am doing this weekend. It looks like it’s going to rain for most of it. Perhaps I’ll just have a cozy weekend at home. Next week will be busy, so I welcome any sort of relaxation.
Have a wonderful weekend xo
