Happy Friday! It was a week filled with color, books, and sunshine. It felt so nice to finally go outside without a coat. Although I am not ready for the 90 degree weather.
Did you watch The Masters?! I am really happy Rory McIlroy won again! I was rooting for either him or Justin Rose to win. How incredible, and ironic, that it took Rory so long to win another major and ends up winning the Masters two years in a row. Now he is part of another exclusive legacy. I enjoyed the Masters; lots of great moments.
This past week was busy with events and work. Monday evening I went to the West Village to Elyce Aron’s townhouse to celebrate the new Frances Valentine x Blair Eadie collection. Prior to the party FV gifted everyone an outfit to wear from the collection. I wore this cute retro inspired colored block mini dress. It runs big; for size reference I wore an XXS. Anyway, upon arriving to the townhouse they decorated the stoop in the most beautiful, colorful stripes going down the steps with huge balloons. It was incredible! We were all taking pictures and videos of it. Once I got inside the decor was just as colorful. They used grosgrain instead of tissue as streamers- so clever! There was large display of crudités, charcuterie, and other delicious hors d’oeuvres. And the champagne was flowing!
It was so wonderful to celebrate Blair and the new collection! She has such a creative mind, and one of the nicest people I know. I was happy to be there for her. It was also nice to see some people whom I haven’t seen in years, or in a while. Nice to catch up! I also met some people whom I have been wanting to meet for a long time. I also loved meeting Elyce Arons and the reset of the Frances Valentine team. And most of all I loved how colorful and joyful the entire evening was!
The fun didn’t stop there. Wednesday evening I went uptown to the Veronica Beard store on Madison Ave. I was attending a book launch event with Jenna Bush Hager’s a Thousand Voices media company. The book we were celebrating was Liar’s Dice by Juliet Faithful. The book seems really interesting, set in Brazil in the 70’s. The author was able to speak on the story and her inspiration in a panel discussion between her, Jenna Bush Hager, and Barbara Bush. The Bush twins really are so funny! The evening was great and I got to chit-chat with fellow bibliophiles and friends.
The rest of my week was all about work, running errands, and cleaning out my closet. I go through my closet once a month to get rid of items I haven’t worn in years. I will either donate to Goodwill, sell on The Real Real, or sell on Postmark. I am also starting to go through my books to donate to Housing Works. Trying to declutter.
What I am watching: Your Friends & Neighbors is back for season 2- on AppleTV. And boy am I over the moon happy James Marsden is now part of the show. I love him! I have only seen the first episode thus far but I enjoyed it! Excited for what the season may bring.
I also started, and caught up to, Real Housewives of Rhode Island. I am still on the fence about this one. The drama is amazing, I just can’t tell them apart yet. I don’t know why they cast 7 women who resemble each other. Makes it confusing. Anyway, I am also a Bachelor fan so am excited to see Ashley I and Jared in another reality tv show. A few things I was surprised about Rhode Island after watching it. First I was shocked how Jersey and Long Island coded it was. If I didn’t know this was Rhode Island I would have guessed one or the other. But their dialect, mannerisms, and the way they dress feels very Jersey and/or Long Island. The other thing: I, obviously, know how small Rhode Island is as a state, but I was surprised by how small it is. To the point that everyone in the state basically knows each other. Maybe that is wrong and was just said for the show. Anyway, I will stick to it because, as I said, the drama is pretty good and one girl has like two boyfriends and her boyfriends have other girlfriends. Messy!
After 4 years we finally get season 3 of Euphoria. To be honest I wasn’t sure if I was going to watch. It’s been so long I lost interest. I also was put off by the trailer. However, at the end of the day I am curious where the characters are in life and how this will end. I have a theory on how the series is going to end and people are not going to like it…… Anyway, I liked the first episode. Mostly it follows Rue, which I did not mind. Would have liked more Maddy and Lexi in it, less Cassie.
What I bought: I didn’t buy anything new this week but was gifted a few things. Sincerely Yours sent me mineral sunscreen; perfect timing since the sun is shining bright. Koala Eco sent me Rosalina and peppermint hand wash. It smells amazing! All of their products are the best. I have the kitchen cleaner that smells like lemons. I love using it!

This weekend I currently do not have plans. If the weather is nice I may take myself out for a late afternoon drink and read a book. That does sound lovely! Otherwise I may be a couch potato and watch Netflix.
Have a wonderful weekend xo
