We are back for part 2 of everything I read in March. Yesterday we discussed themes of mystery and unexpected turns. Today we are discussing romance. The books that make you kick your feet and swoon. The feel good stories to brighten up your day. From Ireland to Baltimore, here is part 2 of everything I read in March.

Ciara’s father left her two things in his wake; a run-down estate in Ireland and to finish the last book of his famous fantasy series. Wanting to stay away from the obsessive fantasy fans of her father’s, Ciara is having trouble writing the book. Oh, and she has writer’s block. Sam, an editor from the publishing house in New York City, is sent to Ireland to get Ciara to finish the most anticipated book ever to be written. No pressure huh? In between the bickering and butting heads, and a deadline on the horizon, feelings start to manifest.

I enjoyed this book! It was a fun, feel good read. I loved the aspect of following along as they write a fantasy book; seeing how it is created. I thought the romance between Ciara and Sam was swoon-worthy good! It being set in Ireland gave it not only a fresh atmospheric take, but also added to the will-they-won’t-they scenario. Over all I enjoyed this enemies to lovers trope.

Every time Jackson and Delilah run into each other, disaster is sure to follow. Jackson is a quiet, overly-organized weather man on the famous Baltimore radio station. Delilah is the bubbly, and beloved, weather woman on the local news. When they are forced to partner together to cover a large blizzard that is heading their way, they both reluctantly agree. Delilah wanting to be taken more seriously as a reporter. Jackson wanting to step outside his shell and rediscover his fun side. With two clashing personalities, they do not see eye to eye. But as they weather the storm, the only thing heating up is their feelings.

This is the second book of the Heartstrings series. While they still have Aiden and Lucie making appearances throughout the book, I liked that it focuses mainly on Jackson and Delilah. I enjoyed reading along their enemies to friends storyline. I did find Delilah a little on the immature side, but that also gives her more of a contrast to Jackson’s demeanor. This book was funny, heartwarming, and swoon-worthy. I hope there is a third book- perhaps following Maggie? (partially bias to the name)
