4th of July outfits and party decor

Light up your sparklers, wear your stars and stripes, and watch the fireworks pop. The 4th of July is quickly approaching and it’s time to start thinking about what you are going to wear and what you need to host your party.

When it comes to the patriotic holiday, I usually do an outfit change. One outfit to sweat in during the morning parade, then another one to wear while I roam around town, going from picnic to picnic, then to the fireworks. My morning outfit is usually something easy to wear like a white romper and my day to night outfit is more elevated.

If you are looking for something comfortable to wear while still looking chic, then look no further than the ever so popular nap dress. This gingham smock midi dress is one that I am currently eyeing to wear for the holiday. The smock bodice gives a little room to breathe and the quintessential blue gingham is a timeless style to have.

For something a little bit more elevated, wear this red seersucker midi dress. With its 3 little bows and spaghetti straps, this timeless piece looks like something Brigitte Bardot used to wear.

For those of you who are shopping for skirts, then this white eyelet embroidery skirt is the one. Under $50, this pretty skirt is a luxe for less look. You can pair it with different tops; whether you want to dress up or down. Wear a more casual top for the parade then switch to a nicer blouse for the neighborhood festivities.

Speaking of festivities, the 4th is all about the cookout. From bratwurst to lobster rolls, side salads to charcuteries,  you will need items to serve all the delicious food on. This blue stripe serving platter is the perfect dish to have. Something you can use outside of the holiday and well into the summer season. Toss the salad with these basket weave servers. Add a little patriotism to your party this paper stars garland and these Americana cocktail picks. Both under $40.
