One of my favorite areas in New York is the South Street Seaport. It’s a mini escape from the concrete jungle we live in. With its cute mini shops, bars, and restaurants located on cobble stone and ships docked along the waterfront, it doesn’t feel like the city.

In the summertime I love to walk around this charming little neighborhood of NYC. Sometimes I’ll bring a book and sit on a bench on the pier and enjoy the scenery. Other days I walk aimlessly around, usually going in and out of the shops. It’s the location of my favorite McNally Jackson bookstore. A two-story building with a cute coffee shop and ample places to sit and relax. Inside there are brick archways and a great view of the water that brings character to the bookstore. Sometimes I will meet friends at the seaport for brunch or drinks at one of the waterfront restaurants. The Seaport is truly a picturesque neighborhood.

Whenever I go to the Seaport I always throw on a summer dress. Sézane is one of my favorite stores to shop for every season, but they especially have cute summer dresses. This classic white dress is one that is versatile for most occasions; walking around the city, brunch with friends, for brides-to-be, or on vacation. Since the South Street Seaport feels like a mini vacation, this ruffle eyelet dress is perfect to wear while aimlessly browsing the bookstore or walking along the pier. Sézane has other summer dresses that I am currently eyeing like this burgundy flower dress to wear throughout the fall, this ruffle sleeve bow tie back dress, and this easy-breezy tiered summer dress. There is always something I can find there to walk around the charming neighborhood of South Street Seaport.
