Haven’t you heard? I am the new Serena Williams! Ok fine, I am more like pregnant Serena than Wimbledon Champ. But after 4 weeks of tennis lessons at Midtown Tennis Club, I know a thing or two about the sport and feel pretty confident about my skills. Just ask my dad, whom I have challenged to a game…..

Normally I take pictures to show you cute outfit ideas, not this time. Not at all. These pictures are taken to taunt my dad. I have slowly been trash talking him since day 1 of my lessons, building up the excitement. These pictures are going to be sent to him one by one, everyday, until we duel. My dad grew up playing tennis, even played in college, but it has been years since he has touched a racket. I, on the other hand, have newly developed Serena-like skills that will dominate the court.

The man is going to use me as target practice.

I may meet my doom soon, but it does not stop me from having fun trash talking my dad. Even when his participation in this pre-game banter is only calling me a twerp, then ignoring me. I mean, the man wouldn’t send me a video of him pretend playing so I can study my opponent. He may feel as though he is getting inside my head, distracting me from focusing on the win, but I am pretty confident these pictures will successfully make him nervous. I watched Wimbledon, took tennis lessons, and now going to see the US Open… I am ready!!

Win or lose, I have found that I really like to wear tennis skirts. At least I will look cute while running for cover.

I haven’t played tennis in so long! With the US Open going on now all I hear about is Tennis and the amazing matches that are happening. Good luck in your match against your dad! You’ll definitely look good going against him!

Love this tennis outfit! I tried playing tennis a few times with my Dad growing up, but my hand eye coordination is just too awful to play. I was lucky if I could return a serve! But maybe I can wear a cute tennis outfit like this anyway 🙂
