To me there is strength in being feminine. I feel even more confident and powerful wearing girly details such as bows and ruffles than I would in an all black. Confidence does not come from what you wear but how you wear it. This casual girly look is one that I feel most myself in– confident and feminine.
This is totes exciting ya’ll!! Draper James is now at Nordstrom! The collection launched yesterday in stores (right now only 15 stores but will soon grow) and online. And this seems to be an ongoing relationship, not an exclusive line. This partnership comes a week after Draper James launched an exclusive collection at Net-a-Porter, where I have my eye on this cute romper and off the shoulder top. For those of you like me who have yet graced the beautiful baby blue store, this is all very exciting!
Some trends come along and make a huge statement (like fringe jeans) and other trends are so settle that they may slip right under your nose. If you haven’t noticed lately that every “IT” girl is carrying around circular metal embellished ring bags. This minimalistic structural design is understated, yet beautiful.

The good news is that my summer schedule is starting to fill up. The bad news is that I have nothing to wear. Ever feel that way? I always do. And it always depends on my mood. Sometimes I want to wear bright colored prints, sometimes I want to feel classic, put together and reach for solid colors, and sometimes I want to feel edgy and chic. The worst is when an event or party just pops up and you are not prepared at all. I need at least a month to find the perfect dress! Such an event is coming up for me this Thursday and in the invitation it is to wear shades of rose or pink.
