Happy Friday! To the moon and back we go! Did you watch the Artemis II space launch the other day? I was both nervous and excited about it. It’s really cool that we are heading back to the moon, even if it is just to orbit around it. And for there to be the first woman, black man, and someone outside of the US to be a part of this historic space travel. I am excited to see all of the photos of the moon, and have been loving the images of the earth and space thus far. One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind. (more…)

While shopping for items to wear on vacation to Marco Island, I wanted to get a dress that was both comfortable and elevated. Something that I can wear casually around, but can also dress up for dinner. This floral smock dress is the perfect combination of style and ease. I wore it to an early dinner we had in old Marco.

This dress (same dress different print here) has a nice and easy flow to it, and with its floral print and ruffle trimming it’s beautiful to look at.  The double drawstrings helps cinch the waist and bodice to your liking, making it comfortable. Now that I am back from vacation, I am counting down the days until I can wear it again. Throw a blazer or sweater over it this spring season, and then wear it throughout the summer season.

While on vacation I do like to dress up a little, but still be at ease with my outfit. I have gathered a few items to shop for your next vacation or to stock up for summer that are elevated yet easy to throw on and go.

Happy Friday! I am back in New York after a wonderful week in Marco Island with my family. We enjoyed lazy days by the pool, delicious meals at our favorite restaurants, and had lots of good laughs together playing games. Wish I had brought the sunshine home with me! (more…)
