Last month marked my 5 year anniversary of blogging– my blogiversary! I can’t believe it has been 5 years!! Time really goes by fast. It feels like yesterday I was creating a vision board and coding my website (that looked like I coded it myself ha). At the same time, however, so much has happened since then; A TON of growth and improvement in content, lots of brand partnerships, experiences I only dreamed about, friendships that I created, and my own personal growth. Although my blog and myself have improved over the years there is still so much more I want to do, want to learn, want to experience, and want to perfect and improve.

scalloped blazer // t-shirt  c/o // jeans (similar) // nude heels // circle bag // pearl headband // sunglasses

I have been sharing different ways you can spice up your workwear, from this pink suit to this lilac one. Today lets talk about spring blazers. From florals to stripes to bright colors, there are many spring-like blazers that you can wear to the office or casually out on the town. I have personally been wearing this scalloped blazer, styled both casually and professionally, everywhere. I love the minimalist look to it with a subtle scalloped detailing. It’s perfect to wear with just about anything! Since my job is wear whatever you like, I’ve been styling my spring blazers a little more casually with a t-shirt underneath and jeans with heels. Blazers are a great 3rd piece to throw on. Especially when the weather is not yet warm enough for skin to sun contact, but not cold enough for a real jacket. All you have to do to complete an outfit is throw on a blazer. It can spice up your outfit with a pattern or print or compliment it with a neutral look. However you style your spring blazer, have fun with your work outfits this spring.

easter dresses

As the weather slowing changes, the sun comes out to warm our bodies, and the birds migrate back North, we know that  spring is in the air. Although spring has officially started last week it doesn’t always feel that way. I am still wearing my puffer coat and oversized sweaters. I am yearning for the days to come where I can wear pretty dresses. Easter is usually when I start wearing spring-like dresses with floral prints or bright colors. It’s a day of rebirth, the end of the cold season and the beginning of life for nature to grow back. Easter is one of my favorite holidays; cute bunny and baby chicks decor, pastel outfits, church, Easter egg hunts, and the best holiday candy ever. And I will fight you on the candy part! Best holiday candy all year; mini Cadbury eggs and Reese’s peanut butter cups… what more can a girl ask for?

jumpsuit // gingham shoes // handbag c/o // pearl clip // sunglasses

A great way to transition into spring is by wearing jumpsuits. It is easy to throw on and you can dress casually or elevate the outfit with heels. Rebecca Taylor, one of my favorite brands, has a line of scalloped attire. From shorts to blazers to tanks to this jumpsuit, the scallops bring a minimalist detail. The design element runs all the way down the hemline and across the overlay of the top. It’s a nautical style if you ask me.  With the subtle look of this jumpsuit, you can play around with how to style it. I choose to match my (gingham) shoes with my handbag for a pop of color. You can play around it with more by throwing a sweater over it, creating the illusion of separates, or by wearing a blazer (patterned or colored) for when it gets chillier. If that seems too much, change up your accessories; wear statement earrings or a headband. This scalloped jumpsuit is one that you can wear over and over again.
