I will be the first to admit I am not the biggest fan of fall attire. As long as the weather permits, I try to put off the traditional fall uniform. I am not over the moon for jeans, and layering makes me feel restricted. This has been an on-going theme in my life; refusing to wear pants. I have always preferred dresses, skirts, and leggings. This year I have been coveting fall dresses; for comfort and style. And I have been looking at non-traditional fall colors and prints. Green, in my opinion, is a seasonless color. It’s the color of prairies, plants, and trees. It reminds us of warm summer days, but also Christmas trees and holly. It’s hunter green in the fall and seafoam green in the spring. It’s a color that I do not wear very often and want to include more of in my fall closet. (more…)

Heading into the fall I was not planning on purchasing much for the season. In fact, I am trying this new thing called saving money. However, my willpower is weakening by the minute, especially since there are sales popping up (like Tuckernuck’s 20% off sale). One item that I can not stop shopping are fall sweaters. It’s 2020, the world is on fire, we deserve a little bit of happiness in the form of cozy cashmere that give you all the right feels. There seem to be an uptick in cute sweaters this season, taunting me to purchase them. From ruffle statements to pearl embellishments to floral prints, this season’s sweater collections are calling my name. Here are my top 10 sweaters for the fall season.

When you ask a blogger what inspired her or him to start a blog, each individual will have a different answer. Many will say they wanted a creative outlet apart from their current job. Others will say they love fashion and connecting with people of similar interest. Some started as a way to make additional means. A few will say that they never dreamed it would become a career, that they started as a hobby. You can simply say that no one was hiring you, so you made a path for yourself. My answer to this question; is a combination of all of the above, but specifically it’s for the reason that I can group all of my interest into one place. I can talk about whatever my heart desires. fleece jacket

For the past week or so we have been experiencing fall-like temperatures here in New York. The cooler weather calls for cozy layers. As we are still in the mist of a pandemic, working from home is our new normal. There is so much we have had to change, including our daily outfits. We went through the sweatpants stage when we thought this would last a few weeks. Then onto the sunshine seasons where we spent our days in flowy summer dresses. Now that we are back to the crisp-fall air, I predict that athleisure will be our daily outfit of choice. We want to feel comfort, yet still look cute.  Athleisurewear has been a Godsend during this past week where I can easily slip on my new favorite pair of leggings (under $30) and a fleece jacket. In the summer I could slip into a dress and be on my way, now I have to think about pants, tops, and what jacket to wear. Running out to grab coffee or go grocery shopping shouldn’t cause you to stare at your closet for way too long, trying to figure out what to wear. Or mayve that is just me. Anyway, a cute fleece pullover or zip-up allows you to stay comfortable in your athleisurewear while still looking cute and put together. Here are some fleece jackets that will be your favorite purchase this fall season.
