“I haven’t felt like myself lately, I must be growing”

-J.E. Fitzgerald

Happy Friday! Despite my aches and pain, I had a pretty good week! My favorite show premiered, I did well at work, and I got some decent sleep. Not too shabby of a week!

I started off this week dealing with plantar fasciitis in my left foot. I could barely keep weight on it. This isn’t my first rodeo with planter fasciitis. I’ve been getting it off and on throughout the years since college- caused by dancing. So I know how to treat it and what I need to go to recover from it. However, this week I basically swallowed the pain, and alleviated it by levitating my foot when I wasn’t moving.  I have spent most of the week icing, massaging, and rolling my foot. I even used a wine bottle to both roll and ice at the same time, highly recommend. Luckily the pain has gone away. I know I need to get new sneakers. My current ones are worn out, which is partly the reason for the inflammation. And I need to wear my sneakers every other day at work.  I can no longer wear flats or heels everyday.

Besides my pain, the rest of my week was simply fine. I had a really great week at work. Styled clients in our new fall collections. We got some really great new items. A few favorites: this amazing tassel top, this woven leather bag, this plum cardigan, and this gorgeous dress.

What I am watching: DANCING WITH THE STARS IS BAAACCKKK!! My favorite show is back and I am so, so happy! I thought the two night premiere was great. I was not surprised at all for the eliminations. I pretty much called it. My prediction is that Ezra and Maura will be the last two standing, if they continue the way they did during the premiere. I was blown away by both of them! This is going to be great season because a lot of the celebs have dance backgrounds. It really elevates the season; all the possible, amazing choreography that will happen! I am very excited!

The Real Housewives of New York premiered with an almost new cast. I was surprised by how much I liked the first two episodes; the right amount of drama to kick off the season and lots of hilarious moments. The new girls, so far, I am enjoying. I find Sai to be much more interesting now that she is being honest. And I am SO happy Carole is back!

What I bought: I spent the week focusing on self-care and wanted to add a few more items to my daily/weekly routine.

Aches & Pains Balm: It’s an essential oil. My mom swears by the frankincense and helichrysum balms – which I have used on my neck and felt immediate release. I decided to get the aches and pains balms as it focuses on targeting inflammation.

Face Cupping: Inspired by the traditional Chinese medicine, face cupping lifts, sculpts, and supports long-term skin health. It boost circulation, lymphatic drainage, and encourages your skin to produce collagen and elastin.

Sleep Well Tablets: I have never been one that can instantly fall asleep the moment my head hits the pillow. I have always had problems, usually tossing and turning, thoughts running, etc. I used to take melatonin, but that doesn’t always work. I have also tried a variety of different gummies and pills that supposedly will help you sleep. I am going to give these tablets a try as it has a combination of ingredients used in traditional Chinese medicine.
