“Life smells like love when you see beauty in everything”
-Kavya Dixit
Happy Friday! It’s almost time to celebrate the stars spangled banner! I am ready for a long break at home; to partake in 4th of July festivities, and to spend time with my family and friends.
The entirety of my week was centered around work. From my stylist position at Tuckernuck to maintaining my blog, I work around the clock. I can’t complain, I love it. I am really enjoying my new job! Last weekend I did really well in sales. I ended up surpassing my personal goal for what I wanted to accomplish in my first weekend. My co-workers have been lovely, really nice. I am enjoying getting to know them. The clients have also been incredible; very sweet, kind, and love Tuckernuck just as much as I do. I am excited for what the future holds for me at the company.
My week wasn’t all work, I did get out and about to enjoy life a little. I also had an unfortunate incident happen. Wednesday afternoon I somehow locked my phone. Plugging in my code is second nature, so I do not think about what numbers I use. Somehow, someway, I got it wrong. Then my mind went blank and I couldn’t remember the code. It also wasn’t recognizing my face. When I finally remembered my code, my phone wasn’t accepting it. After about an hour of being locked out, I started to google what to do. Research suggests that I either reset my phone (with a possibility of losing all my data) or wait 60 days until it recovers on its own. So I did the responsible thing; grabbed my phone and computer and headed to the Apple store. They, disappointingly, told me that same solutions as my online search. So I had them reset my phone… the only problem…I also forgot my Apple password. I always use the face recognition or thumb scanning. I had to reset my password, which was hard because they wanted to text me a code for security reasons which I wasn’t able to because, well, I was locked out of my phone. Luckily I figured out how to change my Apple password, and my phone recovered all of my data. The only thing I had to do was log back into apps. Lesson learned: write down all your passwords.
What I am watching: The new Netflix romcom Voicemails for Isabelle is SO GOOD! I wasn’t expecting it to be this incredible! It’s humorous, heartbreaking, and slightly inspiring. I cried a few times throughout the movie, and was overjoyed in other parts. I will definitely be watching it again!
The Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders docuseries is back for season 3! I have only watched 2 episodes, but this season looks good. The auditions were very impressible; some of these girls are such strong, flexible dancers. I am very curious how they are going to navigate between the ones who actually want to be there, and the ones that are there for fame now that the show is so popular. We will see!
What I bought: I needed a better solution for when I wear strapless or low-back dresses/tops. I do use boob tape, which I think works to a degree. However, taking it off at the end of the evening is nightmarish. It hurts…. at least for me it does. I decided to take another approach and finally bought Nippies– lift covers. I have been hearing great things about the adhesive bra. They are washable, as well as rewearable. I haven’t received them yet, so hoping they work because I recently bought lot of halter and backless dresses.

This weekend I am working, however, I am going to the ballet tonight! I am seeing the American Ballet Theatre perform Onegin. It has been a while since I have seen this classic ballet; I also saw the Opera many years ago. So I am excited to revisit the tale of Tatiana and Onegin. Other than that I may go out for a drink or two… if it doesn’t rain.
Have a wonderful weekend xo
