“It is astonishing how short a time it takes for very wonderful things to happen”

-Frances Hodgson Burnett

Happy Friday! I am booked up, David. I am positively bedeviled by meetings, etc…. ‘Tis the season for a busy schedule. Between meetings, events, and gathering with friends, my holiday social calendar is starting to fill up.

To kick off the week, and the holiday season, I went to an event at Saks to celebrate an exclusive collection between Bauble Stockings and Sainty Nelsen. While we drank champagne through a sipper (have never done that before!) we listened to a group of carolers. Then there was a special performance by Broadway stars Ryah Nixon and Tess Soltau singing “For Good” from Wicked. It was such a lovely evening, and met some really wonderful people! Felt great to be in the holiday spirit. Also wonderful to finally meet Kate, owner of Bauble Stocking. She is the sweetest! She sent me home with a Saks 5th Avenue needlepoint stocking from the Sainty Nelsen collection. Makes for a great gift to give the New Yorker in your life.

The next day I got up bright and early to head downtown to the Nexus Club for Mostest’s Beta Brew meeting. They selected 6 people within the industry to learn about their new launch: a new and improved AI-generated event planning system. You have access to over 300+ vendors, cash back opportunities, and bonuses such as $50 off a vendor or something like Rent The Runway (and more such collabs) of your choosing. This is an easier way to plan the event of your dreams.  I am giving  2 people *FREE* personal concierge when signing up to curate an event– just email or DM me if you are interested! And not just in NYC- we are everywhere!  We do anywhere from weddings, birthday parties, corporate events, dinners, brand events, community gatherings, expos, etc. We do it all!

The meeting was very interesting and I learned so much about the event planning industry! The 6 of us (I was the only one who worked for Mostest) gave feedback on all cylinders; from vendor, content creator, and planners point of view. It was great to help craft ideas for the company.

The fun didn’t stop there! Last night I went to the Upper East Side for my friend’s family art gallery opening, Ruiz-Healy. They were showcasing photography from Graciela Iturbide’s 1980s Las Californias series. The photographs capture a subculture within LA of deaf Mexican American women in a gang called White Fences. I fond the whole thing to be very interesting and the photographs to be stunning! The exhibit opening was lovely! Nice to catch up with some people, and meet new people.

What I am watching: I finally got to see the new Del Toro’s Frankenstein on Netflix. I have been waiting in anticipation to see it since I first heard of the movie being made. It is the most visually beautiful movie I have ever seen. The imagery is stunning! Give me all of Elizabeth’s costumes now! I was blown away by their intricateness. They did change the ending a little but I think it still works. Oh, and give Jacob Elordi every Oscar award. He did a phenomenal job as the creature.

What I bought: I am already starting to buy items to try on for the holidays. I bought this black lace skirt that will be perfect for either a holiday party or NYE. I also bought this pretty red lace dress for holiday parties or Christmas Eve. The last thing I bought was another bottle of my favorite cleanser.
