friday's simply smitten

“It is better to believe than to disbelieve; in doing you bring everything to the realm of possibility”

-Albert Einstein

Happy Friday! Where is Inspector Clouseau when you need him? We have a good old fashion heist on our hands. I, for one,  have ben devouring every ounce of information on the crowns jewelry that were stolen from the Louvre. While I do not condone theft of any kind…. it’s impressive they did all of that in 7 minutes. And you cannot convince me that dapper man in the photos isn’t the Commissaire. In my world he is.

Other than searching the black market for Queen Marie-Amelie’s tiara and bow brooch, my week was filled with meetings and events. With the holidays approaching, both LTK and ShopMy had zoom meetings this week to discuss strategy, tips, and advice to prepare. While this isn’t my first rodeo, it’s nice to get a refresher on things, see what is trending for the season, and learn new features of both affiliate platforms. ShopMy is still pretty new, and I am still learning how to navigate it, so their meeting was very insightful. I have already started my holiday guide- here– which includes gifts, decor, and attire.

Speaking of gifts, I tried on a very beautiful, very large peridot ring and.. well.. Dear Santa. I tried on this stunning ring at the Intemporel office earlier this week. I was invited to their office for an intimate appointment to check out their jewelry collection. Geraldine, the founder, went through and explained how they craft certain items, how they can customize jewelry, and more. Then she allowed me to try on anything and everything I wanted. I felt like a kid playing Pretty Pretty Princess again! I was in heaven trying on all of these beautiful, expensive jewels. Right now Intemporel is online only, but you can set up an appointment to view things in person. The office decor in itself is worth setting up an appointment for; dark green chinoiserie walls, picturesque decor.

What I am watching: I started the new Victoria Beckham docuseries on Netflix. I believe I have one episode left. I am really enjoying it! I have always been a fan of hers since the Spice Girls era. She gets really vulnerable about her life in the spotlight, being a WAG, starting a fashion business, and personal struggles. It really is inspiring that she did the unthinkable;  completely switched careers and succeeded in the fashion industry for more than 10 years. That is hard to do!

I watched the new I Know What You Did Last Summer movie. It’s not necessarily a remake, more of a continuation. I really enjoyed it – wish I could talk about a few things that happened, but do not want to spoil anything! I was completely surprised by the twist and turns.

I watched the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. I enjoyed it! I am always impressed with how they come up with new themes and designs each year. The angel wings were creative and stunning. My favorite look was Jasmine Tookes; a beautiful pearl in a clam. I gasped it was so beautiful! What a way to kick off the show. My other favorite look was Awar Odhiang in that pink butterfly outfit. Thought it was really pretty! My favorite moment was, of course, Missy Elliott performing! I had fun watching that!

What I bought: I ended up buying the wine cooler from the Gray Malin x Mackenzie-Childs collection. Someday I will finally have the space to entertain guests, and I can’t wait to use it. Next I went on a little shopping spree at Sézane. First I got this light beige cardigan that I have been eyeing- so soft and comfortable! Then I bought the gold link chain that goes with the charm pendant that I bought a few weeks ago. Love wearing it together! Last, I bought this black off the shoulder top because I need more going out tops and date night looks– and one can never have too many black tops.
