Happy Friday! It was a cozy week here in New York. It started out gloomy with the rainfall, but the sun has finally come out. Makes me want to go apple picking.
I did my DanceBody class at home again. We are in the beginning of Q4, so learning new dances. I do not have any of the dances down quite yet. I still need to do the breakdowns on DanceBodyLive to figure out the steps I keep screwing up on. While it’s still too early to tell, I think “Tambourine” by Eve and “3” by Britney Spears will be my two favorite dances.
Wednesday evening I went to The Ned Hotel in NoMad for a fun event celebrating the Mackenzie-Childs and Gray Malin collection. I was very excited to attend this event; it being my first event with both brands. Each piece of the collection has the checkered print Mackenzie-Childs is known for in light blue, along with Gray Malin’s skiers for a little bit of escapism. At the event they had the entire collection spread out in the room for us to shop. I ended up taking home two glass coupes and this tree tray. I also have my eye on this wine cooler— which is perfect to use year round.
The event was lovely! They had a saxophone player there to accompany whatever song came on from the playlist. A variety of hor d’oeuvres and delicious cocktails– a twist on the French 75. My absolutely favorite cocktail! Instead of using gin, they used brandy as well as a dash of cider. I was surprised by how much I liked it considering I am not a brandy person. Anyway, there was a massive ice sculpture that was topic of conversation amongst everyone. Very impressive! I got to catch up with some old friends and met some wonderful new people (especially from the Mackenzie- Childs and Gray Malin teams). And of course, the highlight of my evening, was meeting Gray Malin himself! He was so kind and very sociable!
Yesterday I stopped by the Lingua Franca sample sale that is happening until the 19th. It’s at their Jane Street store (I do believe it is in-store only). Everything at the sample sale was under $300. I went in with the intention of getting one of their signature hand stitched sweatshirts, but ended up getting a beautiful tropical dress. I know it’s the fall season, but this dress was too pretty not to have. I did almost get a cute bow cardigan. However, between all 3 items, I knew the dress was one of a kind. I can always get a fun, fancy black cardigan, and the hand stitched sweatshirts are always in stock. I walked in, immediately saw the dress and thought well I’m done here.
What I am watching: I am halfway through the House of Guinness series on Netflix. It is loosely based on the real Guinness family and events that took place in the late 1800s. It is SO good! The acting is phenomenal, the storyline is intriguing, and I love the cinematography along with the music. Highly recommend!
I watched the movie The Map That Leads To You on Prime starring Madelyn Cline and KJ Apa. I liked it… wasn’t my favorite, but I enjoyed it as it was. Not something I would rewatched. It did make me want to purchase a one-way ticket to Europe. I don’t know why, but I didn’t like the ending. It felt like there was more to it, or more could have been shown. I didn’t read the book, so maybe the ending is true to the original.
What I bought: Besides what was mentioned previously, the only other thing I bought this past week was my favorite eye cream.

This weekend I have nothing currently on the agenda. I wouldn’t mind going out for a drink or two with a friend(s). Other than that it will be my usual weekend itinerary; perhaps a stroll through the farmers market to pick up flowers and/or apples would be fun.
Have a wonderful weekend xo
