Happy Friday! Where is the fall weather?! I thought we were suppose to have an early autumn, instead I am sweating in the 80 degree weather. As much as I love summer, I am ready to start wearing my new fall outfits.
Earlier this week I decided to go to Rockefeller Center to shop around. Unfortunately I ended up not wanting to try anything on. Sometimes I just want to walk around and look at clothes. One store I went into was Hill House. It’s the only location they have here in the city. I wanted to see some of the clothes in person to see the colors, patterns, and touch the fabric. I regret not trying on this geometric print dress that I have been eyeing.
I did DanceBody at home again this week. We are at the end of Q3 dances so are now doing a little music switch up, as well as adding old dances in for fun. The music swap is always challenging because I sometimes use the music as a cue to know what movement to do next. Anyway, I am excited to learn an all new set of dances next week for Q4!
Last night I went all the way to Brooklyn to celebrate Sézane opening their first store in the area! They have only one other store which is in Nolita- has been there for years now. The event was lovely! The store is so sleek and chic, and much bigger than the Manhattan one. While there I enjoyed a glass of champagne while nibbling on different kinds of cheeses. They had a large food display that had 5 different types of cheeses. I was in heaven! They also had some French desserts like éclairs and croquembouche. I, unfortunately, couldn’t have any but heard it was delicious. Another treat they gave us, which wasn’t edible but sweet nonetheless, was a free bag. We were able to choose between different style bags, but could only pick one. Most people went with this suede camel tote bag. I am not much of a big bag person. I prefer clutches, top handles, etc. But I really did love the color of that bag. I ended up getting this chocolate crocodile shoulder bag. Perfect color for the fall and winter. Big enough to put all of my necessities in without being overwhelming.
The event was lots of fun! I ran into a lot of people I haven’t seen in a very long time. It was so wonderful to catch up with them, as well as meet some new people. One person in particular I wanted to meet was my point person for Sézane, Marion. It was nice to finally meet the person behind all those emails. She was so sweet and lovely! I will have to go to Paris someday to check out the Sézane store there and grab drinks with her. Someday….
What I am watching: I binged watched the Netflix show Adolescence. It won many awards at the Emmys a few weeks ago. It’s a quick watch, only 4 episodes but they are very intense. The acting was absolutely phenomenal! I can see why Owen Cooper won for best supporting actor at 15 years old. He was very good! Anyway, the story is something I think we all need to talk about more. The kids are not alright, especially young boys.
Speaking of Emmy award winning shows, I watched The Pitt as well. I tried watching it months ago but only got 10 mins into the first episode before I turned it off. It wasn’t that I thought it was a bad show, I just wasn’t in the mindset to watch. Nor did I want to pay that much attention to a show at that time. Then time slipped away and I forgot to go back to it. Now that I have seen a few episodes I think it’s really good!
What I bought: A big style trend right now is draped necklines. I think it’s a chic, trendy, and elegant style neckline to wear. I ended up buying this top in cream. Figured it would be a great top to wear for every season. Next I bought this simple gold chain necklace– in size 14″. I recently bought a necklace charm and needed a simple chain to go with it. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on the necklace, so this one was perfect!

This weekend I am meeting up with a few friends for dinner and drinks. It will be nice to get out and about in the city. I am in need of a night out! Other than that I will be doing my usual weekend itinerary of reading, working out, and frolicing around.
