Happy Friday! I am on my way to Ohio to celebrate my dad’s 70th birthday! I am happy to get away from the city, and the chaos of the world to be around family.

As many of you know I started a new job as a Content Creator for Mostest– an event planning company. Last weekend I shot my first event, a wedding, in upstate New York. I was only there for the ceremony through the reception; capturing every special moment I possibly could. Both the ceremony and the reception was held at Lyndhurst Mansion…. not too shabby of a place for my first event. I had the best time creating wedding content, on top of watching two strangers express their love for one another while being surrounded by friends and family. While I didn’t know a soul there, it was lovely to be a witness to all the love that was pouring out that day.

I was very nervous going into the wedding, not really knowing how to shoot content for such a special occasion nor where I should be placed to get the best shots. Luckily there was another content creator there from Mostest (the full-day creator, I was the half day creator). She, as well as the two photographers, helped guide me a little. While I have been doing content creation for over 11 years, and have been in and to plenty of weddings, it’s a foreign concept to me- creating content outside of the traditional norm of photography and videography of weddings. This is a brand new trend for weddings. It wasn’t around when the majority of my friends, and my sister, were getting married. I was unsure of what exactly was expected of me. I learned a lot during the day, not only about wedding content but also my own skills. I ended up creating 5 Reels for them: 3 fun TikTok style videos, and 2 traditional videos. I will share them in a few weeks once I am able to. I am really enjoying my new job and am excited for my next event. I am hoping it is either a brand event or a personal party!

The rest of my week was mostly about editing the videos for the bride and groom, as well as creating content for myself. Yesterday I shot 4 outfits around the West Village with my photographer. I haven’t seen the raws yet, but the raw videos look great. I still need to edit them and will post next week! One item I am excited to share are these satin geo-print pants! LOVE them!

Wednesday morning I went uptown to the Buru boutique for a fun little event. Buru has introduced a new travel collection: from computer cases to passports. It’s the first handbag collection of theirs! For the travel collection I have my eye on the pink lipstick holder- how chic! They also have the cutest pink pouch purse (not a travel bag but still a necessity in my book) that I have my eye on. On top of the travel bags they have a few clothing items for you to wear while traveling. A few cute matching loungewear sets! The collection is not yet on the website, but you can shop it at their UES store. Anyway, I had a great time catching up with the Buru team, seeing some old friends, and meeting new people!

What I am watching: Only Murders in the Building is back!! I love this show! I can never get enough of Steve Martin and Martin Short, and I love Selena Gomez. So far I think this season looks really good and am excited to see how it all plays out.

I also started the second half of season 2 of Wednesday. I enjoy this show; a bit of spookiness with humor. A typical Addams Family show. I still do not understand why they released it now and not around Halloween…but I am not a Hollywood exec so I do not make those decisions. I think this season has been really good thus far. I have about 2 episodes left.

What I bought: I bought this garden bodysuit to wear throughout the fall. I love the print as well as the slight puff of the sleeves. Cute top to wear out at night or to events.

As mentioned I am heading home to Ohio to celebrate my dad’s 70th birthday! I feel very grateful to be able to be with him on his birthday, and to see my family. To celebrate we will go out to dinner, watch Ohio State Football, and I will allow him to beat me in pickleball…. just kidding, he always beats me. Besides the birthday festivities I am getting my haircut (much cheaper in Ohio), and we may go to Columbus Zoo’s Lantern Festival. It’s going to be a short trip but worth getting away for a period of time.

Have a wonderful weekend xo
