Happy Sunday! This week’s Sunday Shopping top 10 is a little different. Instead of a collection of outfit ideas, current trends, and home decor, I am sharing what I want for Christmas. What is on my list to Santa. I have to admit that it was hard to create a list this year as I can just go out and buy everything myself. And I don’t think Santa will gift me the things I really want like a trip to Europe, a luxury apartment here in the city, and a puppy. Although he did gift the little girl on Miracle on 34th Street a house, and a new dad, so there is still hope! All Jokes aside most of my items are things that I do need within my apartment and my wardrobe, and some things that I want.
A few items that I want and need around my apartment are more decorative than furnishings. I want a new picture frame to place a photo of my nieces in. This scalloped bone frame will look pretty on my tv console. I love the simple coloring and subtle detailing. For above my console, I want these 6″ pink taper candles and this candle holder. I have been looking for a while for the perfect candle and holder combination to place on the shelf above my tv. Hopefully it will look good together! The last item that I need for my apartment is a new hand towel. I already have a blue floral towel, but want another one to switch out every other week. Although this blue floral hand towel isn’t the same design as the one I have now, it’s close enough.
Now onto items that I want for my apartment. One can not have too many coffee table books. I am eyeing The Carlyle to add to my growing collection. The Carlyle is an historic hotel here in New York. Their famous cocktail lounge, Bemelmans is one of my favorite bars in the city. It’s an upscale piano bar that makes you feel like you are part of old New York. Anyway, this coffee table book is more about the hotel and all of the historical happenings that have taken place there since it’s opening in the 1930s.
Another decorative object, and creative project, I want for my apartment is a floral needlepoint canvas. In high ambition for myself I am determined to make my own sham pillow. We will see how this turns out…. In the end I miss doing needlepoint and need a new creative project.
A few items that I need within my wardrobe are new gloves. My current white ones have holes, so it’s definitely time to replace them. These are tech-touch gloves so they will keep my fingers warm while I use my phone outside during the winter. Currently on sale and under $30. The next item I need replacing are new leisure sneakers. I have 2 different pairs of running sneakers that I wear to walk around the city, but they both have seen better days. I am looking at these pink Allbirds for both comfort and style. Last but not least I need a new black wool coat. I want one that is long in length and has a tie-belt. Something that will keep me warm in the winter yet still look stylish. I am eyeing this belted wool coat.
The last item on my list is, I think, both a want and a need. I am all about keeping my skin as healthy as possible. This Faceware Pro LED Light Therapy Device will have my face looking young and fresh. I have a few friends who have it and say only great things about the device. I can’t wait to spend a Sunday afternoon on the couch watching Real Housewives while wearing my light therapy mask. Seems like a lovely way to spend the day!
