I can hardly believe that Christmas is next week! Where has the time gone. Luckily I am mostly finished with shopping for gifts for my family– only one or two left to purchase. I also already have my outfits plan for the festivities. This was the first thing that I did at the start of the season, before buying gifts…. oops.

Usually on Christmas Eve my family will have an early dinner then off to church we go. However, ever since my nieces were born we switched things around and will go to an early Christmas Eve service then have dinner afterwards. This way the little ones can go to bed before Santa arrives. After we attend church and have a nice meal, we will head over to our neighbors house for their annual Christmas Eve party. They started this tradition many year ago, and it’s been a nice festive addition to our evening. They haven’t had one in 2 years because of the pandemic, so this year will be a nice welcome back soirée. It will be wonderful to see and catch up with neighbors and friends after so long.

On Christmas Eve our family attire is dressy, but not cocktail. I will usually wear a dress or a skirt paired with a sweater. This red on red sweater and skirt combo will be my holiday look this year. The past few years I have been really into satin slip skirts. From this Vince silver slip skirt to now this J.Crew red slip skirt, I can’t get enough. They are chic, comfortable, and elevate any outfit for any occasion. I am looking forward to decking the halls this Christmas Eve in my holiday red festive attire.
