“If there’s one thing that I’m sure of, it’s that God has big plans for me.

I’d be crazy to settle for anything less than what He promised.”

Happy Friday! It’s the weekend, Adele has new music out, life is good….

Last week I mentioned that I did something to my neck/back area and could hardly move. I am feeling a lot better but still a little immobile with my neck. I finally scheduled an appointment with my chiropractor for tomorrow. Hopefully once she cracks my neck and aligns my back, I will be feeling back to normal. I have started bringing weights back into my workouts but take things slow and modify everything. If I feel even a little discomfort I put the weights down. Going to my acupuncturist last week really helped loosen my neck/back. I wanted to loosen the area a little before going to the chiropractor. Welcome to your 30s.

Besides nursing my neck back to health, my week was all business and getting things done. I love weeks like this when I tackle the list of things I have been putting off. For instance, getting a new cable box. For months now my cable box hasn’t been working properly. I would have to reboot it twice a day– and I only watch tv for 3 hours a day, so.. that’s annoying. My breaking point was Wednesday night when I was watching the RHOBH reunion and I had to reboot the box 3 times… within an hour… and missed some of the reunion. I was not a happy camper. Luckily I got a new box today and hopefully this one will let me watch an entire program.

What I am watching: I started watching Only Murders in the Building with Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez. I am only on episode 7, but am loving the show. It’s cute, funny, cheesy, and suspenseful. I also adore Steve Martin, and love anything he does. I am also a fan of Martin Short and Selena Gomez as well. Anyway, I highly suggest this mini-series. Each episode is only 30 minutes long, so it’s easy to binge and leaves you with cliff-hangers that you just have to keep watching.

I also am watching the RHOBH reunion… aka my Super Bowl. God it was so good! I can’t wait for the next 3 reunion episodes and Andy (hopefully) digs into Erika’s legal battles. Also I just love Garcelle and Sutton and feel they are now the true queens of RHOBH.

What I bought: I went on a little shopping spree this past week. First I bought two new scrunchies. I wasn’t in the market for new scrunchies, but when I saw these were on sale and how beautiful the floral design and broderie was, I just had to have them. Next I bought a new serum to add to my skincare routine. I wasn’t happy with the current vitamin c serum I was using– it made my skin feel oily. My two main concerns are anti-aging /wrinkles and dark spots. My current serum was only a dark spot corrector, and then I would put a firming serum over it. It was too much. I am a firm believer, in my own experience with skincare, that less is more. That the less I put on my face the healthier it looks– less acne, less oily, less dry, etc. My mom has been using Dr. Dennis Gross C + Collagen Brighten & Firm Vitamin C serum for years now and recommended it. It helped with her dark spots as well. I’ve only been using it for a few days now, but it does not leave my skin feeling oily– so that is a plus. Next I bought these canvas pants from the Shopbop sale. I have been eyeing them for a while now and once the sale hit, I snatched them. I really do not have pants besides jeans and nice trousers to wear during the fall. At least pants I can casually wear everyday that isn’t jeans or leggings. I am excited to try them on and see how they fit. I bought my usual size (size 2) so we will see if I need to go up or down a size. And to see if overall I really do like them.

The next item I bought on a whim is this lace collar. I bought it with two reasons in mind: first being I can wear it over many different sweaters and cardigans this fall and winter. The second is for a Halloween costume. I realized I already have all of the items in my closet to create this costume, if need be. I haven’t been invited to a Halloween party yet, and maybe will not be invited to one at all but it’s nice to know I have a costume on hand if I need it last minute. Plus I do not have to break the bank for a costume from Spirit Halloween that I will never wear again.

This weekend the only plans I have is to get my body realigned by my chiropractor. Perhaps I will go uptown to see the fall decor– usually the UES and UWS do an amazing job with decorating for Halloween. I will take a few long walks to get some cardio exercise, since I am not running right now. Other than that I am living life like anything can happen.

Have a wonderful weekend xo
