“God’s timing is perfect. Waiting is hard, but it’s worth it.

Breathe and let go of the need to know how everything goes.

God gets no glory from your need to control this.

Give it to God and watch fresh winds blow.”

-Coach Livi

Happy Friday!! TGIF… there is an internet outage in my area, forcing me to step outside my apartment to work. Luckily the weather is not so bad, a little cold but the sun is out and shining. This week I had a mini-vaca, a nice little relaxing escape from my everyday life.

From Monday to Wednesday I had a mini-staycation with WestHouse Hotel on W55th street through Curacity. The hotel is beautiful and modern. It’s right near all of the good touristy stuff NYC has to offer: Times Square, Theatre District, Central Park, Rockefeller Center, and a subway ride away from all the action downtown. Hindsight I wish I made my stay more of a touristy stay– go see a broadway show, etc. However, I chose to take the time to relax and not work…. even though I did still. I had Lauren my photographer come over and we took photos all over the hotel– they look amazing and I can NOT wait to share! Tuesday evening I put on a hydrating face mask, poured myself a glass of champagne and watched shows on Netflix. That was pretty much the highlight of my stay. I had a nice time and love the idea of doing mini staycations to recharge.

Besides living in luxury for a few days, I had my final chiropractor appointment. I am feeling much better and my left shoulder hasn’t been hurting during my workouts. Fingers cross my shoulder has healed! I am still going to get another medical massage sometime in March and will see my chiropractor in April. I’ll also schedule an appointment with my acupuncturist. At this point, it’s all preventative.

The only events I attended this week happened to both be today. This morning I went to the new Energi Studio downtown on Lafayette street (beautiful studio!!) for a workout with Marnie Alton and Drew Barrymore. The class, M/Body, was a great workout. I felt amazing afterward- it’s a mixture of yoga, sculpting, and barre. Marnie is located in LA and is only here for a few classes but I will definitely be taking her class again when she is back in town! This afternoon I have another event with Drew Barrymore for her brand FLOWER by Drew as they are launching new blue-light glasses. I am excited for the event and to try the new glasses. As someone who is always staring at a computer screen or her phone, I need all the help I can get to protect my eyes.

The only thing I have planned for the weekend is a workout with The Rockettes. They are teaching us a routine from their Christmas Spectacular! I AM SO SO SO EXCITED! It is going to be lots of fun. After the dance class, I am going out to brunch with a few friends who are also attending class. Other than that I will be running around the city as per usual. I started listening to the new Jessica Simpson autobiography Open Book on Audiobooks. Planning on listening to it while I walk around. The book is so good and I highly recommend to anyone who grew up in that era. I had NO idea half of what she talks about had happened to her; before she was famous and after she became a well-known name. I’ve always been a fan of Jessica Simpson and this book has made me love her even more. I am about half-way through and she is currently newly married to Nick…. can’t wait for all of the gossip about it!

Have a wonderful weekend xo
