As a women I look up to women entrepreneurs. Those that seem to have it all; family, friends, successful careers and businesses. Drew Barrymore has been one that I have looked up to as a business woman and also as a light of positivity. We both share the same passion for photographing hearts we see around town or in random circumstances (I was doing it before she came out with her book… kindred spirits!). Anyway, last year Drew had a clothing line called Dear Drew that I adored. She had a pop-up in Soho that felt as if you were walking into her family room (because all of the furniture was actually from her home). Now Drew has a new venture: home.
This past December I was fortunate enough to have been able to see a sneak preview of Drew Barrymore’s new home collection Flower by Drew Barrymore. From bedding to furniture to decor to kitchen to pets, the home collection is filled with lots of goodies. The line is great for anyone; new home owners, someone looking to change their interior decor, those that are living on campus, and those of us in teeny tiny city apartments. The pieces are feminine, colorful, and abstract. Personally I like the Paris throw pillow, pink couch and decorative objects, all so cute! The collection is great and one that I think will be a big hit! I can’t wait to see what else she has in store for upcoming collections or other endeavors.
