“When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen”

Isaiah 60:22

Happy Friday!! I am so thrilled it is the weekend as tomorrow I am attending the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic! This is my first time attending the match after years, I MEAN YEARS, of trying to attend. It has been on my bucket list for 6 years now and every time the classic rolls around I have something like a wedding or bachelorette that prevents me from going. It honestly feels like tomorrow is Christmas! Unfortunately it is going to thunderstorm all day….. add this to your song Alanis Morissette. I am praying the storm magically goes away or they post-pone the match for another day. Besides it ruining Instagrammable moments, I am mostly concerned about the horses being out in the thunderstorm. Can not be safe for them. Anyway, I bought this cute floral dress from Rebecca Taylor that I am hoping I can wear without Hunter Boots and a raincoat. Rain or shine I am still so excited for tomorrow and to watch the match in the Rosé Garden!!

After a nice little break at home in Columbus, I was happy to be back to my regular routine in the city this week. I flew in Tuesday afternoon, just in time for the few events I had this week. Wednesday morning I attended the Dreams on Air event in Soho. Dreams on Air is a concept shop / showroom of brands you may not have heard of before. Most of the store’s current brands had either the designer themselves or a representative to talk about the collection. I loved listening to the inspiration behind each design and discovering some fresh new looks. It was a nice morning.

Last night I went to the launch party of IL Makiage, dubbed the makeup brand for minimalist. The party was so fun with cool art installations, a DJ, yummy foods, and the option to get your makeup done. Usually during events I opt out on such things as getting my hair and makeup done because I feel it takes away from socializing and getting to know people, but it is a great way to test out products. Since this was a new brand and geared towards minimalist who barely wear make (i.e. me), I wanted see try their makeup. I am being honest when I say I love their products. The makeup artist who worked on me matched a concealer to my skin tone perfectly (which I was able to take home with me!). She also applied bronzer, blush, and lipstick. Usually when I do these types of things I have to tell the makeup artist to give me a minimal, natural look otherwise they go all out and put too much on. My girl asked me if she could play around with my makeup– I said yes knowing I was going home soon and would be taking it off. I was completely in love, and impressed, with what she did. Everything she put on me is exactly what I would of have wanted– I looked natural! This is definitely a brand I will be going back to for my makeup. The store is located in Soho on Broadway near Topshop.

Besides my polo match (or does the thunderstorm now make it a water polo match?), I have nothing else planned except for running errands, working out (going to Orange Theory and Y7), catching up on shows (so far behind in The Handmaid’s Tale), and relaxing. Next week is another busy one!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend! XO
