“do the things you think you can’t do”

Happy Friday!! This past week was a busy but good one! On Monday I had a 5 hour photo/video shoot (which I am SO excited to share with you soon!). I know this sounds super cheesy and cliche but this was my first photoshoot that felt quintessential New York, and I felt like Carrie Bradshaw. I was running around in Central Park in beautiful spring dresses and all over Upper East Side. It felt like a take from Sex and The City. Ok, you can stop rolling your eyes at me now.

After my long photoshoot, I now have a lot of respect for models— I was exhausted afterwards. Even my mom was making fun of me for how tired I was afterwards. It is hard work! I was glad that the next day I did not have a workout scheduled for early morning like I normally do. Instead I went to the Lululemon in Soho for an event with Brave Body. My friend Emily, from Accessories Gal blog, is a brand ambassador for Lululemon and was the one who hosted the event. It was a fun evening of yummy treats, mingling, a little sweat session, and champagne. We each got the new Lululemon Nulux fabric leggings that is truly amazing! I got the Fast and Free 7/8 pants in midnight navy…… can’t stop wearing it. The leggings are so comfortable, it feels like you are not wearing pants at all. Also the Nulux is high waisted– which I am all about these days!

I just finished binge-watching Netflix’s new series 13 Reasons Why……. completely sobbed. Even though going into it I knew the outcome– suicide– but what lead up to Hannah ending her life I was not aware of. I was completely hooked within the first few minutes of Tape 1. And the things that happened….. I can’t even imagine going through all of that. The show also made me look back to my high school career and rethink how I might have treated someone. I was by no means a bully or mean but I could of have made a joke or said something that offended or change the course of someones life. I think this is a movie that not only everyone should watch, but teenagers especially. They could learn a lot from it.

Did you watch the show? It was seriously so good!!

My weekends plans include a meeting with my mentor. I hired someone to help me prioritize and organize my blog. I am ready to take this thing to the next step and she is going to help me. I am going to another one of ModelFIT’s Wellness Series event on Sunday. Drinks with friends and a sweat session or two will also be on the agenda.

Have a wonderful weekend!
