Happy Friday!! I am currently on my way to D.C. for the weekend with my mom. We are staying at one of the Modus Hotels in Georgetown. Every time I have visited D.C. in the past I have always done the whole tourist White House/monuments/ historical stuff, never have I been there to just hang out. This weekend we have absolutely no plans except for a brunch date with my sister’s best friend growing up–who currently lives in D.C. Of course we will see the White House, but visiting every monument and museum is not on our list. We just want to enjoy the city like the locals. It is also an exciting weekend to be in D.C. right before the election— I can’t even imagine what it is going to be like!
I have also never been to Georgetown and I am so looking forward to walking around town. I hear it is especially beautiful at this time of year! To be honest, I am mostly excited to just spend quality time with my mom before I move. I am really going to miss my parents the most, they are the hardest part of saying goodbye to Ohio. Luckily the holidays are here right around the corner so I will see them a lot in the next few months!
This past week I continued to say goodbye to friends as I had dinner with a friend of mine from high school. It was great to catch up with her and getting to say goodbye. Next week I am going out to dinner with another group of friends and finishing last minute details before I leave! SO MUCH TO DO! I am trying to stay calm but ahhhh!
