Last week I recapped the first half of my trip to New York Fashion Week. The first two days were spent seeing shows and spending time with my friend Elizabeth. But the fun did not stop there. Saturday was my busiest day of my trip…. and it was the hottest. Early in the morning I went to the Dan Liu show which showcased a much more affordable ready to wear collection. I coincidentally was seated two seats down from non other than Candace from Live Love and Read— a fellow Columbus blogger. It was so nice to run into her! I knew she was going to be in NYC for fashion week and we had planned on meeting up at some point, but it was still nice to surprisingly see her and only be seated two seats down!!

After the show I went to the ShopStyle Social House in Chelsea at The Glass Houses. The Social House was an all day event where you can come and go as you pleased. They had two floors you can go to. The first floor was a place for influencers to shop, relax, and get your hair and makeup done. The second floor was filled with vendors–and it is where I got this crossbody bag from Gigi New York. Baublebar was there and you could design your own choker. Chokers are not my style so I opted to not do it, but thought it was a pretty cool idea.  They also had Sole Society and I got a scarf with my blog name monogrammed on it. The Social House was where I learned about the Emoticode app–which you can learn more about here. My time at the Social House was short as I had to rush home and get ready for my photoshoot.

When I was shopping for NYFW one of the first brands I looked at was Tibi. Not only are they one of my favorite brands, they are always classic and stylish. I knew I could find something that fit my style and fit into fashion week. This dress I have been dying to get for a while and what better excuse than fashion week to buy it. After my shoot I went to meet up with a bunch of bloggers for cocktails at Parker & Quinn. I bought this Tibi dress specifically for the event. The crossbody bag I had just received from GiGi New York I instantly loved so much I wore it out that night.

Happy hour with my fellow blogger friends was so much fun! I met some amazing girls that I know I will keep in touch with and will go to future blogging events with. They are from all over the country. I also loved seeing everyones personal style and getting to chitchat with like minded, creative, and fashionable people. It was so much fun! After the happy hour I went to Bar None to meet up with some of my high school friends to watch the OSU football game. Afterwards we went to a birthday party at a rooftop in Tribeca. The night was one of the best and I, again, met some really great people.

Sunday I thankfully only had a photoshoot and after the late night I had, I needed a day of rest. I treated myself to a brunch at Sarabeth’s, then went to my photoshoot and spent the rest of the day working—I desperately needed to catch up on blog stuff. It’s funny how the purpose of me being at fashion week was for my blog, yet I kept forgetting to Instagram–Snapcatting was much easier and quicker, and I did not have that much time to write blog posts. Lesson learned–I need to better prepare.

Monday morning I went to FlyBarre for the first time. I.Died. It was so much harder than I thought it would be. I am no stranger to barre classes, but this one kicked my butt. After wishing for my death for an hour I went to the Louis Verdad presentation. It was interesting to see his designs as he incorporates a lot of denim into his pieces.

Monday night was the RewardStyle x Milk Makeup party. This was THE party I was most excited to attend. It was all influencers, bloggers, vloggers and the RewardStyle staff gathered together at the Milk Penthouse.  I was on cloud nine at the party. I got to meet Amber Venz Box the owner and founder of RewardStyle–who is gorgeous in person by the way! And I met Zanna Roberts Rassi who is a well known stylists. She has made special appearances on E!News and is senior fashion editor at Marie Claire. She also owns Milk Makeup with her husband.  Zanna is so, so sweet! I have been a fan of hers for a long time now and it was the coolest thing ever to get to talk to her. She actually walked up to us to say hi, which I thought was so cool of her to do! For the party I wore my most stylish outfit (seen here) as I definitely wanted to stand out. I wore this top from Style Mafia  paired with my favorite white denim skirt from J.Crew.

I met some other amazing bloggers and got to chitchat with a few of the RewardStyle staff. The night was beautiful and the drinks were delicious. It was such a fun night! I also (finally!) got to spend time my friend Erica, owner of Erie Nick fashion and lifestyle blog. Erica and I met a year or so ago at the Create and Cultivate conference in Chicago and have kept in contact ever since. After the RewardStyle party we went to the Standard Grill for dinner. It was so great to see her and to catch up!

My last full day in New York was spent roaming around the city. I went to my favorite spot in Central Park the Duck Pond, where I used to go all of the time to think and relax. I went up town to Ralph Lauren baby to buy my niece a floral one-piece with lace trim and matching hat. Then I just had to stop by my love Bergdorfs where I saw the new Chanel Fine Jewelry Boutique (seen here).  Then I went to the new Cartier Mansion. OH.MY.GOD I was in heaven!  They have a Grace Kelly parlor that is a dream come true. I am obsessed with Grace Kelly so I was definitely in my element. They had a few of Grace’s jewelry– even her engagement ring, displayed, which was so neat to see. The staff there was SO nice and I spent forever talking to one of the male workers (my new best friend and fellow GK lover) in the Grace Kelly parlor. The staff was so helpful and so sweet, and allowed me to talk their heads off, they gifted with a goodie bag to take home!

I left Wednesday afternoon not wanting to leave NYC. The entire week I was over the moon happy and I did not want it to end. I am already so excited for NYFW this coming winter and for more trips to NYC–hopefully soon. I love New York so much, it really is the best city in the world!
