When it comes to beauty, health and fitness, I am just like Gwyneth Paltrow. Freeze my body, bath in honey and coconut, let bees sting me….. well maybe not that one, but I’ll try everything else at least once. Since my net worth is slightly different than Gwyneth’s (unfortunately), I have found other ways to stay healthy. Of course nothing will do wonders for your body and health than to exercise daily, eat whole foods, and drink lots of water. It’s that simple. But it does not hurt to use home remedies or over the counter beauty and health products that will make us look as if we drank from the fountain of youth. There are four things I do daily to stay healthy. I know everyone is different and our bodies react differently to certain products and foods, but these beauty secrets have helped me a lot.

Drink hot water with lemon.

Every morning I drink a cup of hot water with lemon. Through health websites and magazines, we have heard time and time again the benefits of drinking this every morning. It is rich in vitamin C, balances pH levels, flushes out toxins, boosts your immune system, and so much more. It wasn’t until I actually started drinking it daily, that I really understood the benefits of it. Since starting, my metabolism has speed up, I have lost weight and have more energy,  experience less stomach issues, and my skin has cleared. This is the one thing I highly, highly recommend doing.

Viviscal Pills

I started taking Viviscal pills last year when I was introduce to it through another blogger. I saw how quickly her hair grew and how healthy it looked. I have a lot of hair but it is fine. I honestly could not grow my hair pass the tips of my shoulders and it looked malnourished. I have tried EVERYTHING to nourish it–even those little gummies that taste like candy (which I still take, but really have never seen any improvement from taking them). Since I started taking Viviscal pills my hair looks and feels a million times healthier, it is thicker, and actually grows! My nails feel stronger too which is a plus!

Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides

Remember when I said I’ll do anything Gwyneth Paltrow tells me to do? Well that is basically true for all celebrities who are into health and fitness. A while ago I was gifted Vital Proteins Collagen Peptide and thought nothing of it because I really didn’t know what it was. I almost threw it away, I thought it was a strange thing to gift. Well it wasn’t until I read an article on Jennifer Aniston saying she swears by taking this powder daily. After reading it, I ran into my room and starting chugging the powder…. only kidding, I now put it in my smoothies. I have a smoothie every other day and started adding collagen peptide into it. I have seen a huge difference in my skin and my joint pains. There are a ton of benefits for taking collagen peptide. It can help you lose weight, restore muscle, helps restore joint and bone deterioration, improves your skin (think less wrinkles) and more.

Nutiva Hi-Fiber Hemp Protein

A new addition to my health routine, Nutiva Hemp Protein was introduce to me from a good friend of mine. I was using a powder that had an added sweetener in it, which I didn’t realize at first, so I stopped using it. My friend suggested I try hemp protein because it is a super food and is loaded with lots of benefits; filled with amino acids, rich in fiber which can lower your cholesterol, boost energy, repairs and grows body tissue, reduces inflammation, and more. I really haven’t seen a physical difference since using it, but this doesn’t mean something internal isn’t benefiting from it. We all know superfoods are amazing, so I will continue to use it.

There you have it, my four beauty secrets that I try to do daily. I would love to hear if there is something you swear by? Leave in the comment section below, would love to hear from you!
