Last week I discussed what to wear to your upcoming holiday parties (here), today is all about what to get the hostess with the mostess. Usually when it comes to gift giving to a party host I turn to the fan favorite–wine. But during the holidays it is nice to gift the host something a little more special.
To give a hostess gift you must first know their taste. Are they a big entertainer? A serving platter or a spreader set would be perfect to give. Are they much more of a mixologist? A set of glasses or ice bucket may go well with their holiday event. Don’t know the host that well? Play it safe with a candle or a holiday ornament, they will be grateful for the thought. The host just moved into their first home? Gift them a coffee table book or a holiday pillow to help them decorate their new home.
