Stash away your dark clothing and bring out the pastels, Easter is in two weeks! I love Easter– cute little bunnies, Cadbury Eggs, and the start of Spring. To me, Easter marks the beginning of the season of flowers and sunshine. The start of wearing dresses without tights, looking like a highlighter at all times of the day, pulling out my Lilly dresses, and sporting the white on white look. The beginning of my favorite season!

On Easter my family and I start the day by going to church in the morning, followed by brunch, and then an Easter egg hunt—you are NEVER too old for an Easter egg hunt. Never! Later we will have a big dinner with my Grandmother, Aunts, Uncle, and Cousins. Easter was always special to me growing up  because my Grandmother would make our dresses. My sister and I would go to the fabric store with her weeks before, pick out a fabric of our choice (the best part!), and then go to fittings at her house. She loved making our dresses for this special occasion and this was the mark of when I first started to really love fashion. As the years went on we of course stopped having her make our Easter dresses and opted to buy one from a store, but the excitement of getting a new dress is still very prominent in my life. Usually I go for a Lilly Pulitzer dress and this year I am eyeing this pink little number, but since Easter falls in March, it may be a little cold for a sleeveless. I may need a long sleeve dress. This or this would be perfect for the Easter Bunny.

What are some of your Easter traditions?
