Searching for "restaurant"

Today I am excited to introduce to you a few of my favorite fellow bloggers. Catherine from My Inner Fabulous has asked me to be a part of a blog tour, where I will tell you a little bit of what I am working on and to introduce to you one of my favorite bloggers.
What I love about blogging is connecting with other people who share similar interest, that is why I was so excited when Catherine asked me to participate! Catherine is a fellow midwest blogger who has great fashion sense, adoring the classic look, and is currently working on decorating her new house. Definitely check out her blog for some great outfit and home decor inspiration.

Now let me tell you a little about myself:
1. What am I working on?
This coming October I will be running in my first race.  So what I am working on is learning how to run, just kidding…sorta. Running is my weakest link when it comes to fitness, so I wanted to do this to challenge myself.  To train I have been running a few days a week–so far to good! I bought a Fitbit and downloaded Map My Run to keep me motivated. The race is nothing fancy, and my goal is not to run the Boston Marathon, it is simply to achieve something I always thought I couldn’t do.
Another project I am working on is transitioning my life from NYC to Columbus. I am  currently in NYC packing up all of my belongings.  Having a major transition like this is scary, I am not sure what my future will hold but I am excited to start a new chapter. I will definitely update everyone on my transition, hopefully one that includes getting a puppy and decorating my new apartment.
2. How does my blog differ from others in its genre?
When I write my blog post or post pictures on Instagram I try to stay true to myself.  I would never post anything that I did not believe in and would not buy myself.  I also hardly ever jump on the latest trend. Sure there are some trends that come along and I will wear them if I feel they fit my taste, but my style is mostly classic and preppy.
My favorite thing about my blog is that it is more than just fashion. I love to talk about nutrition and fitness, events I go to, things that inspire me, restaurant reviews, and I will sometimes get a little personal on the blog. I feel by dipping into all of my interests and not be so focused on one thing, my blog will hopefully be more relatable to a wider variety of people.
3. Why do I write/create what I do?
I love to blog! I find blogging to truly be a creative enjoyment in my life. As I said before, I have many areas of interests that I am very passionate about and blogging has been a great way to tie it all together. Since starting my blog it has been very rewarding to connect with people who share similar interests. It has been a wonderful experience!
I actually have been blogging for 6 years now. Blush and Blooms is the 3rd blog I have created.  The first two I was either afraid to share or was not technically allowed to have one due to work. I decided to finally create Blush and Blooms because I have had an itch to get back into blogging since I stopped my second one. I knew this was what I loved to do and knew it was time for me to really invest in it. To be honest I am happy I never stuck with the other blogs because I do not think I would ever have been happy with them. I was not ready to share what I was doing because I was not quite sure who I was during those times. Now I am sure of who I am or at least who I want to become and this blog is my journey into becoming it.

4. How does your writing/creative process work?

I sit down and write, that’s it. If I have a creative block I will look through Pinterest, shop online, or read other blogs/online magazines for inspiration. My most productive time of the day is early in the morning and at night, spending at least 2-4 hours each working on my blog. I start out with an idea which usually is something that I am lusting over, browes different brands to create the images or slideshows, and then the creative writing process starts to flow. I also try to incorporate some humor into my post, blogging is suppose to be fun after all!
Now that you know a little bit more about me, let me introduce to you one of my favorite bloggers, Amanda Hamman.
Amanda is the mind behind Girl About Columbus, a lifestyle blog and women’s guide to living in Columbus, Ohio. Since I just  moved back, I need all the help I can  get and Amanda’s blog has been a very helpful way for me to rediscover the city. Check out her series “10 Things To Do This Weekend”, for tips on things that are happening in Columbus, restaurants to try,  events taking place, and what stores are currently having sales! Amanda has great fashion sense, so I love seeing where she shops! Oh, and check out her Instagram account for adorable pictures of her MaltiPoo!
