Living in the Midwest means I will be wearing my winter coat for the majority of the year. Ugh so depressing! Anyway, a few years ago I realized that by the end of winter I would be SO SICK and BORED of wearing the same coat day after day, I decided to start collecting coats. It helps deals with those snowstorm, why did I get up, type of days. To me a coat is not only something you throw on to keep warm, it is a statement piece, part of your style. It is the ONLY thing people will see when you walk down the street.

Have you heard?! Kate Spade has a new home collection and it is amazing! In true Kate Spade fashion, each piece is girly, colorful, and fun! I believe everyone will be able to find something in this collection that they have to have, no matter what your decor styling may be. Although some of the items are pretty pricey, there are many items that I am smitten with.

As a health nut, when it comes to mid-day snacking I always try to opt for a healthy choice. Whether it is a green apple, dates, almonds, grapes, or carrots, a healthy snack not only satisfies me when I am hangry, but I do not feel guilty for snacking between meals (or late at night…). When I am working from home it is easier for me to make smart choices, but when I am out and about running errands or traveling, eating healthy snacks can be a little challenging. When BodyOM contacted me to try their products, I didn’t hesitate to say yes! I instantly saw that their healthy lifestyle mind-set was aligned with mine. I had to have some of their delicious snacks– and they are SO good! I could have easily finished my entire pack in two days, I couldn’t stop eating them….. not sorry.

I am back from my trip to New York! I had the best time and was able to pack in a lot of the things I loved to do when I lived there. And that, of course, includes shopping! It took all of my will power to not break the bank and buy everything that caught my eye.

As winter is looming closer, I am wanting to add a few new coats to my collection. I love the cocoon coats from J.Crew. They are comfortable and stylish. This cocoon coat has a beautiful texture that will make wearing a coat not so mundane. This skirt will not break the bank and one that you will wear for years. Pair it with this blouse and you have the perfect outfit to wear to work. I can’t resist anything that has a bow on it, and the “bow-tie” blouse look is currently in right now.
