About a month ago I went uptown to Central Park to see the cherry blossom trees. They were in full bloom and as lovely as ever. I walked along the reservoir, taking in the beauty that surrounded me. NYC may be a concrete jungle, but it does have its charm. Areas of nature that make you forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I seek solitude in these ambiances. There really isn’t a said place in New York where one can totally be alone and in silence. Moments like these help bring calm and peace of mind. A reminder that there is beauty among chaos. (more…)

Bloggers using their creative juices to pitch in on design concepts. However, right now there is a new wave of collaborations that are trending; home brands are crossing over into shoe design. Of all the dresses I wear – the florals, the stripes, and the bright colors – I always turn to white dresses in the summer. Maybe it’s the easy breezy sentiment to the warm season that white dresses give. Perhaps it’s the sleekness of this minimalistic look that drawls our attention. Whatever the reason, my summer staple attire are white dresses. For me, whether I am lounging or running errands, I always opt for a short white dress. I pair it with sneakers for a casual look to go shopping or throw on a pair of statement earrings to elevate the outfit if I am having brunch with friends. Wearing short white dresses will always be the optimal summer style for me. (more…)

As a kid, when I would shop with my mom, she always told me to go for the classic pieces. The pieces you can wear for years to come. Ones that never goes out of style. Always opt for the classics instead of trends, because a trend you will get tired of wearing. And who knows how long this said trend will last. I have always stuck this this rule of thumb; investing in classic pieces. Of course I still play around with trends here and there. I will purchase an item or two that comes in a bright color or a pretty floral print. However, the majority of my wardrobe is filled with timeless pieces. (more…)
