At the end of August I am traveling to Charleston, SC for the first time ever! I am SO excited to visit the charming southern city. I have been dying to go there for a few years now. I am staying at Zero George, which was highly recommended to me through friends and other bloggers. It is a boutique hotel that just looks so chic and cute! I have been told multiple times from people that I should move to Charleston, they could see me living there. And even though I have never been there it actually is on my life agenda to move there after NYC for a year or two. You never know, I may visit in August and stay…..

This past weekend I went for a girls trip to the Hamptons. Ashley, Elena and I, in our rented Mazda (thanks Mazda!), took a little road trip Thursday night. The other girls,  Victoria, Sam, Gabby, Lynn, and Laura all arrived Friday. The entire weekend was amazing!! I can honestly say it was one of the best weekends of my life. I had so much fun with the girls and really got closer to a few of them. Not sorry at all, I had a great time and want to share with you the few pictures I did take and what my girls weekend entailed.

You may have caught on that the theme of this week is travel. I am starting to get cabin fever here in cold, rainy New York  and have a major itch to travel to city I have never been to. I always keep a little bucket list of places I want to visit someday and this year I have four cities on top of my list .

My number one domestic travel destination wish is Charleston, South Carolina. I am obsessed with the colorful architecture, the history and culture, and the southern charm (pun intended) of the city. I have heard from many friends that I must go there, and I may never return. I could easily see myself living there someday–even if it is only for a year or two.

Last week I posted about day one of my trip to Georgetown (found here). The second day was more about exploring and walking, walking, and some more walking. Instead of exploring more of Georgetown, we headed towards the White House and other historical monuments. While we were looking at the White House, all of a sudden the police started yelling for us to move–and in a hurry. Well come to find out some man had a gun, or perhaps something that looked like a gun. At the time we did not know what was going on, but it was still scary… and exciting. To be honest at first my mom and I felt a little panicky, but then we thought maybe someone important was coming/going, so we stuck around (on the opposite side of the street along with the other tourist) and watched.
