“Become more aware of what’s really worth your energy”

Happy Friday!! This week…. my goodness it was the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. Tuesday I was feeling as if everything I did I was failing at. I talked about during Wednesday post. Luckily I am feeling so much better– thank you for the sweet messages. Like I said in my post, it was nothing that a good night’s sleep couldn’t cure.

Wednesday night I saw Bette Midler in Hello Dolly. There are no words to describe how amazing she is. I can honestly die now. It was… everything. The entire audience was going nuts; standing ovations during the show, people laughing, cheering, clapping like crazy. When they performed the song Hello Dolly I was screaming and clapping– as if I just found Jesus. Besides Bette, the entire cast was phenomenal. David Hyde Piece was amazing and as well as everyone else. It really brightened my spirits even though I had a little problem before the show.

Usually I never give a bad review on here but I have to say, I will never use Stubhub again. Or at least try not to. I bought my ticket to Hello Dolly through them. I was not given the option to have my ticket held at the box office, which I always opt to do. Instead I had to print the ticket. Well I didn’t think to print my ticket until the day of– my fault. When I was at the Shubert Theatre and the man scanned my printed ticket, it did not scan. I went to the box office as told and it turns out that Stubhub not only gave me an ineligible ticket, but they put someone else’s name on it. Since that happened I had to wait until 5 minutes till opening to make sure someone else was not in my seat. I was not happy. According to the guy at the box office this happens all of the time through Stubhub. It happened to 4 other people that night. The wrong name on my ticket I can forgive, but to give me an ineligible ticket is not ok. Thank god I was able to get in and see Bette perform!

I am home in Columbus this weekend to celebrate my niece’s 1st birthday! I flew in yesterday and am staying for the long holiday weekend. Upon landing I went shopping with my mom. I bought my niece the cutest romper and top. We are having a Mickey Mouse theme party for her since she loves Mickey Mouse Club House. She dances along to all of their songs, it’s cute. I am loving spending time with my buddy. She just learned how to put things away and loves to mimic cleaning, so we are going to play clean aunt Maggie’s room before she leaves.

This past week I started watching The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. It is so good and well deserved of any and all awards. I absolutely love it. It is hilarious and captivating. I HIGHLY suggest watching it! The best part is the Gilmore Guys podcast is back! Kevin, part of the GG duo, started another podcast with a comedian named Alice about The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. You can find the podcast under Gilmore Guys.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!! Stay warm xo
