We all have our go-to color. The trusty color that you know always looks good on you. For me that is shades of blue. Although I love to wear other color palettes, I usually have to be in the right mood to wear them. Wearing pink makes me feel bubbly, unlike my usual demeanor which is dark like my soul. Just kidding, I am only dead inside some of the time. Wearing blue I know I will always be in the mood for, so why not wear it head to toe.

I have always been fascinated with monochromatic looks. It is a simple, chic look you can put together at anytime.  This gingham ruffle top breaks up the look a little with the white coloring, but I still consider it monochromatic. These wide-legged blue pants I have worn way more often than I thought I ever would. They have become my go-to for events when I do not want to wear a dress and jeans are too casual. Basically this entire outfit is all of my current favorites piled on me– ruffled, blue, wide-legged, my lady clutch. It may not be a bubbly pink, but this blue monochromatic look makes me feel like myself– happy with a dark soul 😉
