“If you can’t do it with feeling— don’t”

-Patsy Cline

Happy Friday!! I can’t believe it is already August! My birthday month! Turning a year older, maybe wiser, but a lot more confident that is for sure. I am happy where my life is right now and wouldn’t trade it for the world. Turning another year older does not mean anything to me except gathering a little bit more life experience. Life right now is busy, evolving, and exciting!

I had two fun events this past week. The first event was Wednesday night,  I attended the Cotton x Bloomingdales X Who What Wear runway show, hosted by Kristin Cavallari. It was in this gorgeous event space uptown in the UES. They showed both men and women’s fall pre-view collection that will be in Bloomingdales. Can’t believe I am saying this, but I may be a little excited for fall to come. Summer will always be my favorite season, but I am ready to stop sweating. After the show we had cocktails and yummy hor d’oeuvres. It was a nice evening!

The second event of the week was last night at Banana Republic in Rockefeller Center. I helped host their pants party, introducing the sloan pants. I tried them on and they really are super comfortable and stretchy. Although I loved the pants, I ended up going home with this gem. The event was a success, as I saw a lot of people very interested in the new collection. Or maybe they just wanted me to stop popping up behind their backs yelling “GREAT CHOICE!”….idk.

My fun-filled week does not end, this weekend I am heading to the Hamptons for a few events. Tomorrow morning I am attending a brunch hosted by Nine West x Crowns by Christy. Nine West is honoring creative women who are passionate about their careers and #standout.  I am grateful to have been even considered for an invitation. I think it is going to be a beautiful brunch filled with amazing women whom I can call my friends, and lots of pretty florals from Christy and the gang. The second event I have is Bauble Bar x Sugarfina. Sugarfina, for those of you who are not familiar, is this adorable candy store. I sent my mom a box of candy for mother’s day this past year and she loved the yummy treats. This event is going to be a sweet one 😉

My week was not all fashion filled,  I attended my first The Class by Taryn Toomey class. I loved it! It was a little life changing, a class I didn’t know I needed. To be honest going into it I had no idea exactly what it was about. I knew the class was going to be 75 minutes and that we were going to be repeating movements a lot. I had this idea of the movement sequence in The OA. I also heard from those who have taken it, it was a mind-body experience. Going into it I thought we were going to meditate, do a little yoga, stretch, heart opening exercises…. I was wrong and sorta right. I didn’t realize how physical it is– we did burpees, but like mindful burpees. Basically you do physical movements repeatedly to exhaust you, you are encourage to yell/scream, and let go during it. What you are doing is ridding the body of toxic thoughts and tension, releasing it to open your heart to something new and positive. After all of the hard physical stuff you lay in savasana and manifest what you want. It really was a cool experience and I can NOT wait to go back!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend xo
